Meet The Georgia Governor.  Watch him count the "contributions" from the Kingdom of Hellanta's Home Depot, Georgia Pacific, Coca Cola, Wachovia, Bell South, Delta, and the others of the Chamber of Commerce gang which actually supported former King Roy. Yes, they pull his strings and he dances to their tune.

Flaggin' # 162 of Perdue The Liar    Kennesaw

It was a great flagging in Kennesaw today. We had nearly 25 flaggers show up plus 3 drive by supporters who parked and came to join us. Not counting the city workers and other candidates and staff, we had more voters there than The Liar could muster even with his free BBQ.

We all chanted liar liar while he was at the podium speaking more lies. It was apparent that he was getting visibly up-set. We definitely spoiled there republican lovefest and got some good press. Thanks to all who showed and to David Ostrom for the photos. Also attached is an article from the AP about today's flagging.

Flaggin' # 161 of Perdue The Liar in Toccoa

Java Station Restaurant Toccoa, GA flagging of Lying Sonny Friday, November 3, 2006.

I arrived at the Toccoa flagging site at 10:05 p.m. with no other flaggers present.  I got my 3X5 Real GA Flag and Sonny is a Liar sign and walked out to where the Repub supporters were. Dan Roberts drove by and saw me and came and helped me flag which was very much appreciated.    Lum Petitt

One of the most interesting flagings I

have  participated in. Got lots of positive response from passing auto's.
There were only two of us flaggers there but it worked out great. We were
able to protest with-in 75 feet of the speakers and the governor during the
entire rally. Dan Roberts

Flaggin' # 160 of Perdue The Liar in Dillard, GA

Dillard House Restaurant Dillard, GA flagging of Lying Sonny Friday, November 3, 2006.

I arrived at Dillard flagging area at 7:20 a.m. and posted four Real GA 3X5 Flags and several Boot Perdue signs.  Vehicles were coming in when I arrived for the 8:00 a.m. RepubliCON get together.  The temperature was below freezing and was very cold.   Lum Petitt

Flagging Report

Saturday August 5, 2006  - Sonny Perdue Flagged at National Fairgrounds in Perry

Steve Scroggins report

Twenty-something Georgia citizens gathered in the sweltering heat to remind Governor Perdue and the public of Perdue's veracity impairment.  Translation:  SONNY LIED.  SONNY WAS FLAGGED.

The event was more of a Republican rally and networking session than an event for Perdue only; there were many more Oxendine, Gary Black, Kemp, Collins, Cagle and related signs than there were Perdue signs in the area. But the Perdue signs that were there were "special"....more on that later. As always, the reception by citizens (black, white and other) passing by was favorable.  There were many honks, waves and thumbs up. It was a great flagging that we enjoyed despite the heat.  See the photos and more details below...

THE FLAGGING.....We assembled and set up at the intersection nearest the entrance to North Gate of the Georgia National Fairgrounds in Perry. For whatever reason (could it have been the heat index over 100??), we didn't have the same number of troopers and cars posted for our protection this year as we did in 2004.

NO MEDIA COVERAGE...
We had no media coverage this year as we did the last two years. Can't say that I blame the reporters for just staying inside in the AC...and pretending they didn't notice us. We had the infantry, the cavalry and the air force on the scene, there's NO WAY they could have missed us. Pete Giddens brought his SONNY LIED blimp to share the obvious message (SONNY LIED) with the thousands of cars passing by during our time there. Russ Huffman on his Moto Guzzi represented the cavalry...Bud Cranford was there as dismounted cavalry since his bike is under repair. Several in cars acted as our mobile cavalry keeping flags on display and in motion around the fairgrounds perimeter. I suppose another added benefit to staying in a car was to have an air conditioner. ???

THE PATRIOT CITIZEN CREW...
I'm sure I'll leave some names out but out of the twenty something the North, West and Southwest Georgia folks were represented. Elijah Coleman (Mableton) & Chase, Lum Pettit (Cleveland), Pete Giddens & Don from the South, Jim Wood, James Bruce and his family, Ben Davis, Bud Cranford, Russ Huffman, George Bell & girlfriend, Ralph Carson and me rounded out the middle Georgia regulars and there were a handful whose names I can't remember.

We didn't get a look at Perdue, he flew in on the fowlicopter, but I'm sure he could see us as they made several circles over the area around 1145. We saw at least three helicopters go in...but only one landed and stayed.

THE PROPS...
Lijah brought his large SONNY LIED sign, me and Lum and several others brought our supplies of LUV-SONNY LIED, BOOT PERDUE and SONNY IS A LIAR signs which we posted along the roadway in the area. Lum and I brought extra flags so we had plenty of props. Pete's 5x8 flag on the blimp tether was visible to everyone within a half mile or more.

Someone, we have no idea who, placed some LIAR stickers on a number of the SONNY - Georgia's Governor signs converting them into "SONNY Georgia's LIAR" or "Sonny Georgia's LIAR Governor". Several said that those signs AND stickers were already in place when they arrived around 11am that morning. We all enjoyed the Third Annual SONNY LIED Fish Fry Flaggin' so much, it's a pity (NOT) that 2006 will be the FINAL Perdue Fish Fry Flaggin'. When he's defeated in November 2006, we'll have to start numbering all over with the new Governor...unless, the new governor wises up.

Flaggin' # 156 of Perdue the Liar was on Cave Springs Rd., Cedartown where a dozen of us caught the Liar coming in to the mansion.   All the uppity donors eating crow with the Lying Chicken were met at the entrance with signs, flags, chicken on a pole, and opinions on their candidate being a Scalawag.   Chase and I knew Alan Dyer and Pank, but the other eight just joined in and looked like about 20 with the props.   Is the Liar paying for his treachery?   Yes

Flaggin' # 155 Of Perdue The Liar was at the Children's Home in Cedartown as the Taxpayers' Copter brought the Liar in at taxpayers' expense.   We figured out that The Liar only flew herebefore going a couple miles to his big political fundraiser so that he wouldn't have to pay for his trip.   The Liar's audience here was met with Sonny Lied signs, flags, and the Perdue chicken-- spineless and fowl.   Chase, Pank, Alan and I worked this event.

FLAGGIN # 154 OF PERDUE THE LIAR:

Tim Pilgrim, Harold Porter and LUM PETITT flagged Lying Sonny and the nest of RepubliCONS at Wild Bill"s in Duluth Saturday, June 24.
The liar came in about 4:05 p.m. in his campaign Fowleybus.  He left about 5:20 p.m.  Tim had to leave shortly before the liar did.  Harold and I left immediately after Lying Sonny.

Flaggin' # 153 of Perdue The Liar:    Five angry voters flagged Lying Sonny in Dillard, GA today.   Thanks for the report Dan.

Flaggin # 152 of Perdue The Liar:    Steve Monk and Rod Waller led the demonstration flaggin' today in Dalton against Money Perdue.

Flaggin' # 151 of Perdue The Liar:

Sonny "The Liar" Perdue was flagged Monday morning at the Ravinia in Atlanta by Norman Black, Lum Petitt, Harold Porter and myself, Steve Monk.  We walked onto the flagging site with our "Boot Perdue" and Ray McBerry for Governor signs at precisely 9:45 a.m., which was none to soon, as The Liar passed us going into the Ravinia just as we were setting foot on our spots.  He gave us his customary "Queen Elizabeth" wave and smile as he rolled past us.  At about 10:45 The Liar came out of the Ravinia and made for his getaway.  We then walked over to the traffic light at the entrance through which he had to pass for another shot at The Liar.

Flaggin' # 150 of Perdue The Liar:

Friday afternoon, May 26, about 5:30, a small group of patriotic Georgia citizens met Governor Sonny Purdue and his Republican political entourage at the entrance to the Two-way Fishcamp and Marina Restaurant, South of Darien in McIntosh County The southern patriots, faithfully continuing in their effort to remind the incumbent and his political insiders, at every opportunity, of his broken campaign promise to bring about a referendum vote on the Georgia flag, gathered with plenty of the historic 1956 flags to assure the professional politicians that at least a small group had not forgotten the broken promise.

The stalwart group stayed in place on the highway until the Governor and his group, including Hinson Moseley and Jeff Chapman, left.  During their vigil, the grass roots demonstrators had the opportunity to educate many supportive passers-by and others, who stopped to inquire about the nature of the demonstration.  The group was able to share, not only the flag issue, but the fact that they are tired of having a small group of political insiders dictate to our state the numerous policies that emanate from Washington through the Atlanta establishment, which seems to care little about the people of Georgia

Most agreed that the people are ignored and left out of political decisions that come from Atlanta, and they were surprised to learn that there is a Republican challenger to “Didn’t come through Perdue.”  They learned, to their dismay, that Republican challenger, Ray McBerry, a non-politician, from McDonough, Georgia, has been ignored and, indeed, left off of any Republican information released through established party channels.  They found out that Ray McBerry will appear on the ballot in the Republican Primary scheduled for July 18th.  One of the group stated that “the voters of Georgia have a right to know the record of the incumbent, his involvement with high-level politics, and that there is a challenger for this office.”

Flaggin' # 149 of Perdue The Liar in Macon from Steve Scroggins:

BOOT PERDUE stickers were on every light pole in front of the museum.  I believe the man from Mableton and an accomplice did that last summer (so a birdie alleged).  The same stickers were there when Mike and several others flagged the liar at the Sports museum back a few months.  Got your money's worth on those stickers!  Nearly a year is a very high foot-traffic area.

Anyway, Mike joined me and Russ "Muley" Huffman to flag the liar in downtown Macon.  They closed off the section of Cherry Street in front of the Georgia Sports Hall of Fame for this shindig, they had a bunch of media trucks, a huge inflatable football helmet (for what purpose I still don't know--it was the local arena football team) and several high school bands there.

The liar snuck in the opposite side but we heard the band strike up "Hail to the Thief" or Hell to the Chief or whatever that song is on the sidewalk.  Then he went inside (after arriving 30 minutes late).  We had a good time waving at passing traffic and talking to the kids in the bands.  They were mostly black and asking, "What did Sonny lie about?"  We told them.  "Oh..."  They nodded, "OK".  Lot of trucks honking and thumbs up and friendly waves from black, white and all kinds of folks.  There were a number of gawkers and folks who took our picture from a distance and one of kids the from the band came over with his camera and wanted our photo.  We smiled big and held up our signs.    Mike leaves his flag with us and goes over with a few McBerry for governor signs and puts them on several of the park benches outside near the door.  The policeman hassled him a little, but he pointed out that he wasn't "one of them" when he didn't have a flag, right?  Finally the officer left him alone.

Perdue came out of the building wearing a goofy looking ball cap and trailed by a host of cartoon characters...then there were the people in costumes.   There was Smokey Bear, Bugs Bunny, the blood droplet (whatever his name is), the local arena football mascots, the GEICO lizard and others.  There was a yellow looking thing...we don't know if he was Perdue Chicken (the Augusta chicken? or the North GA chicken?), Tweety Bird, BigBird or what.  We didn't notice Wile E Coyote nor Snidely Whiplash.  As Elmer Fudd would say, "Dare wuz somethin scwewy goin' on dare."

They all trailed away from us and we really couldn't follow them up Cherry Street without the gestapo jumping on us.  I think Perdue walked a block and half to demonstrate his commitment to fitness, then jumped in an air conditioned car that picked him up.

We waved and greeted the folks leaving the shindig. We'd ask them "Did you hear any big Whoppers?"  "What kinda lies was he tellin?"  "Did you notice his nose growin?"   All were friendly to us, we didn't encounter any Sonny apologists or Liar-fans at all.

Flaggin' # 143 of Perdue The Liar in Cornelia was carried out by Dan Roberts, Mike Shedd and Lum Pettit.

There was only four of us on hand because of the short notice. The most significant part of the event was when R.W. Moore, "at the meeting as a news paper reporter, working as a news reporter for (The Truth Newspaper) went inside to record the meeting. We arrived early and he went inside and set his vidio camera up and went to the rest room. When he came out a law enforcement officer was waiting for him and said he had to leave the meeting and could not record it. That was the second time this has happened to him at Perdue's meetings.  (So much for freedom of the press.)

Flaggin' # 142 of Perdue The Liar in Macon:

Steve Scroggins report

Three Georgia citizens reminded Governor Perdue and other citizens of Perdue's failure to honor his promise for a fair flag vote.  Translation:  SONNY LIED.  SONNY WAS FLAGGED.

As always, the reception by citizens (black, white and other) passing by was favorable.  I spoke with all who passed by closely. One black lady said, "You got the right sign there!"...referring of course to my SONNY LIED sign. It was a great flagging.

Perdue was introduced and made a brief speech about all his accomplishments, bla, bla, bla {gag} while from across the street there were the sounds of "Watch Out, folks, his lips are moving" and "I think I see his nose growing" and "Let us vote, Governor" and "Does he have his fingers crossed?" and "Sonny Lied". Then Perdue gave his standard acknowledgement of the flaggers present, how this is a great country, and we should not discourage dissent because the men in Iraq are fighting to defend Freedom of Speech, etc., etc. I suppose we were the Elephant in the Living Room, he had to acknowledge us....and he did a lot of acknowledging at stops all across Georgia this week. They bill it as Perdue's "Campaign Kick-off Tour"...but it more like Perdue's "Hell Week."     Macon Telegraph story ||| 13WMAZ Coverage ||| Fox24 Coverage

Flaggin' # 141 of Perdue The Liar in Nashville, GA:

Brothers,
I heard all day long on the radio news that perdue was to make 12 stops down this way to kick off his second run. I
don't know about the other 11 stops, but here in Berrien Co.   (Nashville) we kicked him off with a good flagin. We had him himmed in from about 1800hrs to 2000hrs. Flagged him coming and a going. Very good response from local citizens. I write this only to encourage my fellow brothers about the state, for yall all truly help me when I read of yall's hard work.

Flaggin # 140 of Perdue The Liar:

Sonny was flagged today in Valdosta by Larry Mercer and I. Nearly 75 people showed up including us, spectators and security, the band that was playing, babies that were kissed and..........one elderly lady that said we should "go flag the democrats". Then she proceeded to tell us how good a Governor Sonny was and that we should leave, even threatened to "beat our brains out". She complained to security but they seemed to usher her away without incident. All in all we stood there holding our signs and flags and Sonny walked in, kissed babies, spoke, then left. I'd have to say it was a disappointing event for them. We smiled and waved and as always talked to some good people. The best thing was as his bus pulled in the first thing he probably saw was me holding a 3x5 56' on an 8 ft pole.    gotta love it,
Pete Cowart

Flaggin # 139 of Perdue The Liar at his Marietta BBQ campaign kickoff was probably the worst one ever for his ego.   About 40 of us angry voters probably outnumbered his crowd of supporters if you don't count the caterers, his staff and those officials required to attend, work, or secure.   Also many people at the square simply ate the free BBQ and told us they weren't voting for The Liar.   Perdue was shouted at from the moment he arrived until he left.   This flaggin' was especially fun, for our numbers came from Alabama, the S. Carolina Augusta area, Cleveland, and Dalton.   Gail and Tom Smith won the 8' Battleflag and Gen. Gordon book as they came from Augusta.   Below is a Steve Monk photo of about half of our group who remained for fellowship after this flaggin'.   Join us next time.   May I add that the caterer was left with a lot of Perdue hot dogs due to his poor showing.      P1010153

DESPITE GIVING AWAY free barbecue at the opening rally for Gov. Sonny Perdue's re-election campaign on Marietta Square on Monday, he didn't draw much of a crowd. It consisted mostly of party people, workers and politicians, along with members of juries and county workers looking for a free lunch.

About 50 "flaggers" showed, yelling "liar, liar" to protest Perdue's less-than-strenuous effort to put the Confederate Battle Emblem back on the state flag. One wag recalled the famous quip by Gov. Marvin Griffin years ago after he lost Cobb County after hosting a heavily attended barbecue at Larry Bell Park: "A lot of folks have been eating Marvin's barbecue who didn't vote for Marvin."

Flaggin' # 138 of Perdue The Liar was in Villa Rica at Mirror Lakes Elementary School at his Bill signing.

Thanks to Billy Bearden and Jerry DeMarce.

Flaggin' # 137 of Perdue The Liar was reported as follows from Jesup:

We flagged the liar for about 2 hours outside the restaurant.  He comes out and I yell for him to come over.  We cordially introduce ourselves.  We are surrounded by flaggers and government people.  I tell him all we want is a fair flag referendum.   He says you know what we were up against (in 2003).  I said if he gives us a fair flag referendum then he will win re-election.  He pauses for a second and says he has to go without responding to my statement.  He was visibly very uncomfortable and has lost about 50 pounds.  That's all from my end.  I had a very interesting day.  I detest the man, but at least I got a chance to talk to the governor of Georgia.

Flaggin' # 136 of Perdue The Liar was at the Perdue,  Casino Ralph Reed,  Lying Phil Gingrey, etc. Republicrat Political meeting at the Mount Vernon Church.  Everyone there was reminded that we have a liar in the Governor's mansion.

Coverage of this flaggin' of the Liar was reported in the Marietta Daily Journal.

Flaggin' # 135 of Perdue The Liar at the Georgia Sports Hall of Fame.   Thanks to Mike Bruce for sending this newspaper report of the flaggin' of the Liar in Macon.

The attached picture on the front page of the Macon Telegraph was perfect.

The internet version of the paper gave the caption below:

Beau Cabell, The Telegraph
Gov. Sonny Perdue, left, makes his way out of the Georgia Sports Hall of Fame after addressing a Macon audience about his legislative proposals Thursday morning. A few people who disagreed with the way he handled the flag issue showed up outside.

Flaggin' #134 of Perdue The Liar at Unicoi State Park in Helen was to show the Republicrats that our flag issue is still paramount.   We feel that our group completed this mission to inform those holding the caucus meeting it's a fair flag vote or Boot Perdue.  Here's a later message from those who stayed after our main party left:

Lijah,

David, the flagger from Fountain Inn, SC, stayed with Harold and me until 2:30.  We got loaded up and left about 2:50.
Rep. Tim Bearden came in about 2:00 p.m.  I talked with him for a little while.  He asked how many flaggers had been there.  I told him nine.  He said he appreciated what we were doing.  I told him that I appreciated what he has done and what he is doing.  He was pretty confident that Lying Sonny was there.  When he left I told him to hang tuff.  He said that he was.  A lot of Legis-trators were going in and out and we got very good response.  A small group gets a lot of attention but hopefully our numbers will increase.  I believe that this was a very worthwhile flagging and I appreciate you fellow flaggers helping.  I know how it to drive for 3 hrs. are so and I appreciate it.  Thanks.
Lum

Flaggin' #133 of Perdue The Liar at Cartersville's Country Club Rotary meeting:

George Perdue was flagged both going and coming from the State Patrol station entrance by many angry lied to voters who displayed real Georgia flags and Sonny Lied signs.

This U. S. Hwy.'s traffic was very busy and the people going by agreed with our message.

Flaggin' #132 of Perdue The Liar in Forsyth, GA:

2:45 p.m. - Jim Wood set-up shop at the entrance of the Georgia Public Safety Training Center (GPSTC) with a 4'x6' Georgia state Veteran's flag and a SONNY LIED sign in hand.

2:58 p.m. - The Chicken Chopper appeared to the north and was traveling southwest; it made a 270 degree loop counter-clockwise over the GPSTC grounds before roosting.  The final leg of the landing had a pretty good view of me, but it was too far away for me to see if he was waving back.  Maybe my 4'x6' flag was shining bright with the sun behind the Chicken Chopper.

Lots of friendly smiles & waves from most everyone; a few no-reactions; one "friendly" thumbs-down (that's a thumbs-down with a slight grin.)
Several comments were heard, such as "Got that right!"  One woman, who appeared to be a black lady, yelled, "He sure did!"  I'm not sure if she was talking about his broken promise about the flag or something he may have just said at the GPSTC gathering.

3:56 p.m. - The Chicken Chopper took flight toward the northeast.

Flaggin' #131 of Perdue The Liar and V.P. Cheney was at Henderson Village:

First, let me thank Monika and Sarah for coming and getting him at the Museum.  I'm amazed that you were able to get to both locations.  I didn't think that it would be practical for any party to be at both flaggings because only half of us who tried to flag the VP last year at the Macon Centreplex managed to get through all the traffic and road blocks.  Way to go!  And thanks again for traveling all the way from the Georgia coast.  I'm sorry we missed y'all.

Jimmy and I got caught in bumper-to-bumper traffic north of Perry on U.S. 41, so we didn't arrive at Henderson Village until about 4:25 p.m.  We went straight to the church on 41 just south of Ga 26, where we rendezvoused with Beau Palmer (LS and SCV member) in the parking lot.  As we were unfurling our three Veterans Memorial Georgia flags and preparing to make our approach, a Chevrolet with a Jeff Davis tag pulled into the parking lot.  Two men in suits with an earphone in one ear each stepped out and asked us if we were there to flag the VP.  We answered, "Yes, wouldn't you like to join us?"

"No, we are Secret Service and would be fired for that, but y'all enjoy yourselves.  Just stay on the south side of Ga 26 and don't make any aggressive-looking movements.  We're just here for security reasons, and you have your first amendment rights...."  We assured them that we were there for the VP to see us, that he would know exactly why we were flagging him, and that we had no other intentions.  Jimmy showed them two signs he had made that had the real Georgia flag with "CHENEY HATES DIXIE" printed in big red letters at the bottom.

So we made our way to the Ga 26/U.S. 41 intersection.   While we waited for the VP, we received the usual friendly waves and horn honks from the vast majority of the passers-by, nearly half of whom were black.

When the VP entourage arrived, we couldn't see anyone in the limo's, but those in the other vehicles looked surprised and highly offended.  I wish that I could offend such people every day.  It was a hoot!
One flagging closer to a free Georgia!   Mike Bruce

Flaggin' #130 of Perdue The Liar was at Robbins Air Force Base and Museum was conducted by Monica and Sarah Jones.

Flaggin' #129 of Perdue The Liar was in the high rent district of Cobb County where participants were to pay $1,000.00 a plate (bribes).   It appeared to the ten or so of us that this fundraiser was a flop because we didn't see but a handful of people entering.   As usual, we got favorable responses from the traffic on Cumberland Boulevard this day.  Thanks to those who show up to protest corrupt officials.

The Marietta Daily Journal's report on this event included the following:

WHERE WAS controversial Cobb County Republican party Chair Anthony-Scott Hobbs at Gov. Sonny Perdue's early Friday evening cocktail reception at the One Overton Building in the Cobb Cumberland area?

Hobbs had been Perdue's 2001 Cobb chairman when Perdue unseated Gov. Roy Barnes. But his name did not appear as either a host or a co-host on the $1,000-a-person invitation list and no one has reported seeing Scott Hobbs, (joking call "ASH" by some Cobb GOPers), at the event, whose attendance one Cobb bigwig called "disappointing."

Perdue's staff was fearful the governor would not draw a crowd in Cobb County, the backyard of ex-Gov. Roy Barnes, so they added popular Republican U.S. Sen. Johnny Isakson to speak. In fact, one Cobb ex-senator was making last minute calls and e-mails asking to "please attend and bring anyone you can. Don't worry about paying the money."

The event was hosted by building czar John Williams, state DOT member Johnny Gresham and banker and Cobb Chamber chief-elect Kessel Stelling.
When was the last time a sitting governor couldn't draw his campaign chair, the county party chief or a crowd in Republican-rich Cobb County?

Flaggin' #128 of Perdue The Liar caught the fowl chicken at the Republican gathering in Dallas, Georgia, along with our rotten Scalawag Speaker of the House Glenn Richardson.

Flaggin' # 127 of Perdue The Liar was at the Gwinnett Community Center,

while, a few hundred yards away, Sonny Perdue was probably telling more lies.  No matter, though.  Numerous motorists still honked and waved their support as they passed by on busy Satellite Boulevard.  These were the members of that large, silent majority of Georgia voters who still support the 1956 Flag of Georgia
Sonny "The Liar" Perdue was late in arriving for his 12 noon scheduled appearance at the Gwinnett Center, despite the assist of his tax-payer-funded helicopter ride.  He actually got there at 12:18 p.m.  I guess the trip from Adairsville to Gwinnett Center was just too much for the 30-minute allotted time frame, even for a helicopter.  The helicopter sped off after dropping him at the Center, so I guess he used his SUV to make his exit from the civic function he attended there.  I didn't see him drive out, but I know he didn't fly out.  He must have used another exit other than the one I was at.  I don't know if he saw my flag as he was coming in on the helicopter, but a whole lot of his constituents sure did!  I saw to that.
Steve Monk

Flaggin' # 126 of Perdue The Liar was in Adairsville today as his helicopter was landed about 100 feet away from Mike (dressed in his Perdue chicken suit) and we others added flags, signs and shouts to the Chief Liar.   Everyone who attended this event has been informed that Sonny Lied about our flag vote.  We were welcomed by all but the bigwigs.

Flaggin' # 125 of Perdue The Liar:

For the third time in a week, Sonny "The Liar" Perdue has been flagged.  Early on the morning of 30 September 2005, five dedicated flaggers assembled in front of the grand opening of BrandsMart in Kennesaw, Georgia.  Present at this flagging were: Elijah Coleman and his two sons, Chase and Rhett; Steve Monk and Albert Jelks.  We got The Liar going and coming and we got him good.  He really didn't seem to happy to see us there.  His comment to us out the window of his SUV as he rode in was, "You've got to be kidding!"  Later, as he rapidly departed BrandsMart, I distinctly heard him shout to us, "You guys coming out to Oconee tonight?"  This was obviously a sarcastic reference to the grand flagging he was given earlier this summer at Lake Oconee during the big governors convention held at the Reynolds Plantation there.  I'd be willing to bet good money that that flagging really got under his skin.  Any takers?

Anyway, we all enjoyed a great flagging at BrandsMart in Kennesaw this morning.  You can go have a look at the pictures that I took of this event on Webshots at the following link...    Sonny Perdue flagged at BrandsMart

Again this week Perdue was flagged at the Hyatt Ravinia on Ashford Dunwoody Rd.

Flaggin' #123 of Perdue The Liar:

Albert, Larry, Steve, John, Michelle, Terry, Mike, Rhett, Lijah, Chase, etc.

Ralph Reed attended the (Sonny the Liar $5,000,000.00 Israeli Bonds pushed on Georgia citizens) celebration today at the
Hyatt Ravinia on Ashford Dunwoody Rd.   How many of these dollars will come back to Perdue and Reed in the form of
AIPAC (american israel political action committee) campaign contributions?   About a dozen angry citizens flagged these Scalawags late today for the 123rd time since SONNY LIED at the beginning of his term.   These people control the Georgia Governor.   It was Arthur Blank's Chamber of Commerce ($3,000,000.00) that enticed Sonny to Lie in the first place.   Now Ralphie wishes to follow his mentor.

Flaggin' #122 of Perdue The Liar:

Sonny "The Liar" Perdue, Georgia's next one-term governor, was flagged today at the Marriott Hotel Century Center in Atlanta.  The flagging was attended by Norman Black, Lum Petit, Michelle Hamlin, Jeffrey Monk and myself.  Response from passing motorists along Century Boulevard and the NE Expressway access road was very good.  We also got a good number of honks from traffic on I-85.  This was quite exhilarating and enticed us to stay a little longer at the flagging location.  A great time was had by all in attendance.

Flaggin' # 121 of Perdue The Liar:

About fifteen compatriots flagged Predue and company in Sylvaina Ga at Repub. fish fry & fund raising on the 21st of Sept. Predue & company arrived by chopper (I hope the state didn't have to pay for it) He flew in a circled over us before landing. The Flaggers started lining up a little after five for the event that started at 6:30 pm. Mike Mull coordinated the Flaggers and Fred Bussey(not shown) took pic's. As all ways a good time and a lot of fun for all. The R&D restaurant in Sylvaina fed all the flaggers for free. Max Burns came out on the road gave us a big plate of catfish and another of hushpuppies. He was told that we had no donations and a few fish would not get sonny(smiley) any votes. Punt Perdue!!!!

Flaggin # 120 of Perdue The Liar at the Harris County High School in Hamilton, Ga.  We had the real Georgia flags and some great real Georgia signs with let us vote stickers on them.  We greeted the governor in his black SUV coming and going. It was a fun time.  Bill and I reminded the governor of his broken promise yesterday                                                                                                                                    For the Cause, Ellen and Bill Gilmore

Flaggin # 119 of Perdue the Liar In Valdosta at the convention center

during his visit there for the "Heritage Conference" by Larry Mercer and I. There didn't seem to be many attending the conference today. The wind blew steady the entire time we were there keeping our 56's in prime view of the public. A few horn honks were as exciting as it got.

Flaggin # 118 of Perdue the Liar in Macon at the Chamber of Commerce gathering:

Five Georgia citizens joined up, greeted the public with a display of '56 flags and SONNY LIED signs, and smiles/waves.  Steve Scroggins, Russ Huffman, Jim Wood, Norman Black and Steve Monk.

Perdue arrived by helicopter---still not sure where he landed----and was ferried in the back way by car, so we didn't get to look him in the eye going in but I'm sure he saw our flags flying in.
We had a steady flow of traffic from 7am until after 9am moving about 25-30 mph so we were able to make eye contact and wave to everyone, speak to a few during slowdowns.

We had one or two deputies in cars protecting us as all times.
Right after 9am, two more Bibb Sheriff's cars showed up and one started directing traffic when the Chamber folks started piling out of the parking lot.  This slowed traffic to a standstill and it was great.  Though not large in number, our sign & flag display was beautiful....quite a spectacle to the weary travelers going to work.

PERDUE left by car, we saw him in the dark green SUV, he drove right past us.
I have photos, but the photo of Perdue's car doesn't show him through the dark glass.
Will post report and pix later.

It was unanimous that it was a good flagging.
I interviewed with Don Schanche of the Macon Telegraph (he covered us at flagging's before) and also with a young lady from AM940, the local talk radio station.  The morning guy (Hoover) from 13WMAZ- TV paused on the way in to get some footage of us on the sidewalk but he didn't speak to us.  41 NBC-TV was there, but we didn't see them get any footage of us.

Interesting conversation with the leaders of the Methodist Home...will cover that later.
Great weather!  Very worthwhile flagging.  Thanks to Steve and Norman for traveling so far to join us.

Flaggin' #117 of Perdue The Liar   Chamber of Commerce (lack of support) in Cartersville.   Norman Black and Steve Monk were at this weak gathering for Spineless Perdue, but left after placing Boot Perdue stickers in the area.  They did not see The Liar on this day.

FLAGGIN' #116    Of  Perdue The Liar    Southern Governors' Conference  Ritz Carlton  Reynolds Plantation on Lake Oconee, Greensboro, GA.   This meeting of Southern Governors featured our Perdue The Liar hosting a phony Perdue for Southern heritage preservation and tourist incentive for Georgia and the South.   Since King Roy Barnes was booted, this Scalawag Sonny has been the greatest enemy of Southern heritage.   Since Bush was not coming, we knew we could flag this event if we brought out our Confederate Navy, Confederate Marines, Confederate Seals, Confederate Secret Service, and our Confederate Air Force.

With contributions from heritage supporters, I sent the Confederate Air Force $600.00 to fly over during the Governors' Ball from 7 to 8 PM, and during the next day's Jeff Foxworthy show from 1 to 2 PM.   Our Air Force tows a Giant real Georgia flag with the message to our angry voters:  "BOOT PERDUE".    With other contributions of $600.00 from Dan, Joel, Rhett, and me, I bought several slide projectors, a marine battery, and had about 90 slides created from cartoons of Perdue and flags, mostly provided by Steve Scroggins.   I already had a DC to AC Inverter 700 watts and an old Perdue sign 4'x8' that now says LIED under Sonny's name.   I brought a bed sheet along just in case the white side of this sign was not big enough for those on the grounds to see.

Hundreds of heritage supporters were notified of this great opportunity to catch Sonny in his lying ways in front of the other Governors.   Because of this, about 15 flaggers joined those of us who planned this event.  And from all parts of GA did they come:  Janet from Alabama, Rod from Dalton, Mike from Toccoa, Lum from Cleveland, Richard from Lawrenceville, Dan and Traci from Winston, Joel from Douglasville, Chase from Mableton, Norman from Dunwoody, Albert from Woodstock, Billy from Bremen, John and his Son from Marietta, as Bob Ryder loaned us his ship.   Dan brought 2 Jetskis and Joel towed the Ryder boat.  On the lake we met up with the other planners, Steve, Matt, and Josh from Macon, and Russ and Mike.  Also a stranger, Dan and his wife, Ralph and John.   These compatriots had already set up a borrowed pontoon boat and rented the only boat available on this lake.   We crowded together and set out to find the Ritz.  There were 7 water craft in our fleet.

On this beautiful day, we located Perdue The Liar's favorite hideout and had a great flaggin' with our flags, signs, and the banner plane overhead.   Our ships had so many flags that we looked more like sailing ships.   Everyone did their share of flag and sign waving.   Today there was no doubt that SONNY LIED and the other Governors learned about it.  As a bonus, there were several in the media taking pictures of our armada, flags, signs, and banner plane.

Our entertainment for this night did not occur.  As reported to us in error, there were no boats for us to rent for the slide projector show.   Therefore, Norman did not even get to the flaggin'.  All of the boats but ours left at twilight, and we couldn't do the show from only our boat.   The pontoon boat that had been promised to come back after dropping off those with students, did not return against the wishes of fellow renters Rod, Mike, Janet, Albert, Chase, and Lum.   Not sure about Captain Billy's wishes.   We were still anxious to entertain those on the beach even though the Ball was moved or cancelled.   There was no danger in returning across this lake after dark, as we discovered.

Our banner plane will be over the next NASCAR race South of Hellanta.   Hope Perdue The Liar attends.

FLAGGIN' #115 Of Perdue The Liar in Hartwell:

Folks, this event wasn't on lying Perdue's posted schedule, but we have angry voters everywhere to inform us where the spineless Chicken will appear.   This one was almost on the S. Carolina border, and we'll bet the bribee Perdue was shocked to see all the flags, people, and signs waiting on him at this middle school.   Thanks to the following for getting out into the 95 degree heat:  Kyle, Mike, Lum, Harold, David, and the other threelocal heritage supporters.   The audience for the Liar was very small, but outside for 2 1/2 hours, we got support from almost all of the passer-bys in the busy traffic.   This was not Perdue country.   Lijah

Flaggin'  #114 of Perdue The Liar in Perry.   I missed this great flaggin' described below as I picked up Chase at the Sam Davis Youth Camp today.   Your children should go there for a week next Summer.  See y'all at next Liar flaggin'.

Flaggin' #113 of Perdue The Liar in Cochran:

Perdue was Flagged today in Cochran by 8 Flaggers.

Though I had heard some bad things about the Police in Cochran, they were very courteous to us with many waving and giving us the Thumbs-Up.  Cochran seemed to be a Heritage friendly town with close to ninety per-cent of the motorists waving or giving us the thumbs-up sign.  We stayed on task for about two hours even though we never saw the Chicken arrive.  We were having fun watching the motorists waving back at us.  Some even waved first.

When we rejoined forces we found that Brad and Wade had gained some assistance; the LoS had joined us.  Mike Bruce, Ben Davis and Bobby Johnston were there proudly waving their Real Georgia Flags and Milton Thomas was also there but without a flag.  We also learned that Perdue had flanked us yet again.  Having learned we were there, he decided to enter the Campus through the elementary School entrance.  It's amazing what he will do to avoid facing Georgia residents who disagree with him.

Thanks to Brad Stephenson, Russ Huffman, Wade Huffman, LoS members Mike Bruce, Ben Davis, Bobby Johnston.
A special thanks to Milton Thomas for his support.     Bud Cranford

Flaggin' #112 of Perdue The Liar in Augusta:

We had a great flagging at Savannah River Pavilion in Augusta today. We had nearly 30 flaggers and received a lot of support from the public and gave some great interviews to the local media. It was great to see so many Confederate Americans take a stand. Robert Sutton will e-mail you some photos, next time thanks to Bill Bells suggestion we will flag Sonny at the airport and when he starts telling his lies to the faithful we will hightail it to his secondary destination and flag him there , kinda of a twofer. Everyone had a great time and we are looking forward to another meeting with the Liar Sonny Perdue.

Flag supporters dog governor

Forget?  Heck no, say Confederate flag supporters who trailed Gov. Sonny Perdue to Columbia County on Saturday.

As the governor rallied the troops inside Savannah Rapids Pavilion with state School Superintendent Kathy Cox, supporters of the Confederate battle flag stood outside the canal headgates, waving flags and signs   "The flag decision is the purpose that we're here," said Ron Udell, of Augusta. "The 1956 flag should have been on the ballot, people should have had the right to decide the (fate of the) flag."  Although the group's efforts seemed fruitless, Mr. Udell said, he'll continue to fight.  "We're going to continue to (do this) until he (the governor) is defeated, or until another referendum is issued."

Flaggin #111 of Perdue The Liar as reported by Jack Gordon.   He and Rusty Taylor Flagged Perdue at the Rock (near Thomaston) Wednesday.  This was a double Feature event since Perdue was appearing there in two different locations at the Quad Graphics complex.

Flaggin' #110 of Perdue The Liar was a Georgia LS affair. Five men were present. I didn't realise it at first, but besides the Central Georgia co-ordinator being there, Glen Goodson (President, Southern Crescent Chapter), Jack Gordon (President, West Central Georgia Chapter), and Ben Davis (President, Middle Georgia Chapter) were there, which represents the entire primary leadership in Central Georgia. Also attending was Rusty Taylor, which makes the West Central Georgia folks the most in attendance.

I held my "Honk for your flag" sign, and perhaps 90% of those going by honked. Male, female, black, white--it did not make any difference. Deputy sheriffs, troopers, you name them, were honking for the '56 flag. The issue is still out there. The greatest value of flagging is not for the Liar's benefit, but for us who attend and see the overwhelming positive response from the public, even by those who are on the public payroll. It is a real inspiration to keep on, keeping on.
I remain, Bob Watson

Flaggin' # 109 of Perdue The Liar was a fun day in Rockmart, Georgia.   This is a Southern area that is covered with Southern flags,                Boot Perdue signs, and always a lot of angry lied to voters.   Perdue sneaked in the back way down a dirt road rather than face his former        supporters who he had betrayed.  Back Door Sonny!!   The Scalawags attending had more present than us, but not by many.   And as              seven police cars kept us company all evening, many good Southerners were saved many tickets from these guys.   Final note:   Save your proud Southern heritage.   Join our flaggin' fun days and "Boot Perdue".    Bring back the kidnapped Confederate memorial '56 flag.

   Bye y'all!

 P1010111

 P1010121

As he departs his fund raiser, Sonny gives the supporters who got him elected a final wave. But if they have anything to do with it (and they surely will), then he is Georgia's next one-term governor.

Flaggin' #108 of Perdue The Liar was in Ringgold.    Info and Chattanooga news coverage will be added by Rod who was there.

Flaggin' #107 of Perdue The Liar was in Dalton.

Norman and myself flagged Sonny "The Flyin' Lyin' Chicken" Perdue at Mohawk Mills.  We arrived there at 1:00 (an hour early) to check out the site.  We then broke for dinner at a nearby restaurant, returning to Mohawk Mills at 1:55 p.m.  Sonny arrived by helicopter about 15 minutes later and his helicopter then flew off.  Sonny exited Mohawk Mills about 45 minutes later by way of a black suv, his Georgia State Patrol escort following a couple of minutes behind him.  Norman and I stayed on until shift change at Mohawk Mills (about 3:00).  We got honks and enthusiastic waves from nearly everyone.  For just two people, it was a grreat flagging.  The business establishment across the street from Mohawk Mills allowed us to park inside their fenced property.

Flaggin' # 106 of Perdue The Liar:

Harold Porter from Cornelia and I flagged Lying Sonny Perdue this morning at the Telford Hulsey Business Park in White County (Cleveland).  The Lying Governor was speaking at a dedication ceremony this morning at 10:00 a.m. of the GBI Forensic Crime Lab located in the White County Business Park.

Harold and I showed up about 9:20 a.m. and started putting our signs and flags out.  We placed four 3X5 Real GA Flags on flag poles and fourteen signs along the side of US 129 on each side of the street leading into the park.  We had five different sign logos.  I held a 3X5 Real GA Flag and a sign that said Sonny is a Liar.  Harold held a 4X6 Real GA Flag and a sign that said Sonny is a Liar.  About 9:55 the LIARS FOWLYCOPTER landed in an open area right in front of us.  He flew over us before landing.  He got a very good look at us on his arrival and departure.  We were waving our flags and holding up or signs and hollowing SONNY LIED and SONNY IS A LIAR as he walked from the Whirlybird to an automobile and from the automobile back to the Whirlybird when leaving.  He lifted off about 10:55 and was on the ground about one hour.  We waved our flags until he was out of sight.  A White County Deputy Sheriff car set on the side of US 129, with its headlights and blue lights flashing the whole time we were there, which was great because it sure did get a lot of attention.  He was there with his lights flashing when we arrived and when we left.  We very much enjoyed flagging the liar.  Sorry, no pictures available.

Predue flaggin in Columbia County, Ga by Camp #158 Augusta Ga on 21Jun05.

Flaggin #104 of Perdue The Liar was in Perry

I arrived at the event very close to the scheduled 3:30 arrival of Perdue, I spotted two Real Georgia Flags flying.  While I was prepared to Flag Perdue by myself, I found Elijah Coleman and a young friend Brian Horton already on the scene.  This was Brian's first Flagging but he didn't even catch a glimpse of the King Chicken.
About five minutes later we heard the familiar Buc, Buc, Buc, Buc of the Fowleycopter.  Chicken Perdue once again flanked our Welcoming Committee, choosing to spend more of the taxpayers money by arriving by air (who said Chickens can't fly?).  People we still arriving so we spent an enjoyable hour waving our flags and waving to passing motorists.  Lijah told me I had missed the interview with someone from the Perry paper (Probably the Houston Home Journal) but only moments later a reporter with a  minicam from WMAZ-TV stopped in front of us  shot a little film and asked if we had attempted to talk to Perdue.  We told him we had talked to him several times but he kept on lying.  Elijah also told him that the Perdue Flag was a copy of the Jim Crow flag and the true flag of civil rights and advancement for Georgia was the one we were carrying.  We also informed him that this was the 104th time Perdue had been flagged.
Shortly after 4:00 we heard the Fowleycopter fire up, but Perdue  must have been at the controls as it took off sideways, not clearing the tops of the trees until it was about 3/4 mile away.  Do you suppose Perdue looked back, to see us madly waving our 56 flags as he beat a hasty retreat?
I think this was the first Flagging I have been to where close to 75% of the motorists both Black and White, smiled and waved back at us, including guests at the dedication, and nary a single finger salute did I see.
Whether he saw us or not, Perdue Knew we were there.

Flaggin #103 of Perdue The Liar was

THE SEA ISLAND CAUSEWAY.        OH, HOW I LOVE THE SEA ISLAND CAUSEWAY ! ! !
OF ALL THE PLACES I'VE FLAGGED AT, THE SEA ISLAND CAUSEWAY  IS BY FAR AND AWAY THE MOST RECEPTIVE OF US. WE ARRIVED AT AROUND 11:00, WAS SET UP IN MINUTES, AND THE FUN BEGAN! ! !
IT HONESTLY SEEMED LIKE AT LEAST EVERY OTHER VEHICLE THAT PASSED BY HONKED, YELLED, WHISTLED, OR SHOUTED SUPPORT FOR THE CAUSE.
IT WAS GLORIOUS !
AS WE WAITED FOR PRINCE PROPAGANDA TO ARRIVE, IT OCCURRED TO ME THAT IF HE WAS AN HOUR LATE FOR HIS FIRST ENGAGEMENT, WE MAY BE IN FOR QUITE A SPELL THIS TIME. BUT IT WAS A GOOD WAY TO PASS THE TIME, AND FUN WAS HAD BY ALL. AS WE STOOD, WE SAW NUMEROUS  "ATLANTA  AREA" TAGS ON VEHICLES LOOKING VERY OFFICIAL AS THEY HEADED TOWARD THE CLOISTER,  AND AS ALWAYS, WE WERE LOOKING FOR THAT ONE BLACK S.U.V., AND KEEPING HALF AN EYE OUT IN OTHER VEHICLES AS WELL, IN CASE OF A SNEAK-IN.
I SAW A BLACK S.U.V. PASS BY WITH A BEAUTIFUL BLONDE IN THE PASSENGER SEAT, AND YOU KNOW, IF IT WASN'T
OLD SONNY BOY HIMSELF DRIVING, IT WAS HIS TWIN BROTHER........YEAH.......HE KNEW WE WERE THERE.
........'AINT IT GREAT TO BE ALIVE IN OUR BLESSED SOUTHLAND........

Flaggin # 102 of Perdue The Liar occurred in Glynn County:
I-95 WAS BUSTLING AS USUAL ON FRIDAY, CARRYING IT'S NORMAL  CARGO OF GOODS, AND TOURISTS THROUGH OUR BELOVED SOUTHLAND........YANKEE TOURISTS..........UNSAVORY PEOPLE WHO LEAVE US THEIR MONEY AND GO BACK HOME.....DISAPPEAR...
.......DISAPPEAR..........LIKE WE WISH SONNY PERDUE WOULD DO...........BUT HE JUST WON'T GO AWAY.........
AS A MATTER OF FACT, HE CAME UP THAT INTERSTATE ON FRIDAY, AND WE WERE THERE TO GIVE HIM A GOOD OLD DOWN HOME SOUTH GEORGIA WELCOME.....FLAGGING STYLE ! ! !
IT FELT GOOD TO SEE CHICKEN LITTLE'S BALD HEAD AMIDST THE BACK DROP OF SOME REAL STATE FLAGS AGAIN AS HE PULLED INTO THE I-95 REST STOP IN GLYNN COUNTY.

FOUR OF US WERE THERE, OUR THREE VEHICLES PARKED SIDE BY SIDE WITH FLAGS STICKING OUT OF EVERY ORIFICE THAT WOULD HOLD ONE, AND WITH " SONNY LIED  " SIGNS IN HAND,  WE WELCOMED THE TURNCOAT IN USUAL FASHION, WHO WAS ONE FULL HOUR LATE ! ! !

AS HIS S.U.V. WAS PARKING, IT WAS STOPPED BY A STATE TROOPER WHO ASKED...." DO YOU WANT ME TO REMOVE THESE FLAGGERS ?"......PERDUE'S AIDE ANSWERED...." NO, THEY'RE EXERCISING THEIR 1st AMENDMENT RIGHTS "  MONIKA TOOK ADVANTAGE OF THE HESITATION AND STEPPED OUT IN FRONT OF THE GUBERNATORIAL COACH TO SNAP AN "UP CLOSE AND PERSONAL"  PIC OF OLD BALDIE.
THE REST WAS THE USUAL DISPLAY OF POLITICAL HOBNOBBING, HANDSHAKING, AND THE SPEECH OF THE DAY BY " YOU KNOW WHO ".

Flaggin' #101 of Perdue the Liar was carried out by Harold Porter, Jim Yarbrough from Gainesville, and Lum Petitt at Brenau University in Gainesville Thursday evening, May 26.  Arrival was scheduled for 6:30 p.m.  We arrived about 6:00 p.m. and people were already arriving.  We had just arrived and was getting our flags out and a policeman can up and told Harold that he could not use the metal flag pole.  He said we could use wood or plastic but no metal poles.  Not a problem, I had several flags on pvc pipe.  He then told us that we could not be closer than 100 feet of Brenau property with our flags and signs.

Everyone that came was dressed in their finest.  Judging from all the people going in, Lying Sonny must have had quite an audience.  We got some positive response and some people were afraid to look at us.  The program was to start at 7:00 p.m. with a champaign reception to follow in Yonah Hall and on the front lawn.  Harold and I left about 8:00 p.m. since we figured this thing might go on until midnight.  We did not see the lying governor.

We just got back from our enjoyable Sonny The Liar flaggin' #100 at the Biltmore Hotel in HelLanta.                                                                      This was a fund raiser to support his campaign, with Scalawag couples paying up to $2,000.00
each.   This event was sponsored by wealthy fat cats who have no desire to elect an honest
Governor to represent the People.

We covered the entire front sidewalk of the Biltmore Hotel with our signs, flags, and the Perdue chicken puppet.

Vindictively, all of the front doors of the Biltmore were locked just after we started this sidewalk flaggin'.
Couples and individuals were disgusted by having to walk another 300 feet to go in the back door
to donate up to $2,000.00/couple.   Some may have decided to leave.   So our presence was
felt as our flags and Sonny Lied signs were seen by all.  A few of the politicians there told us they
always supported a fair flag vote for Georgia and still do.   Of the thousands of cars on W. Peachtree
Street, many occupants displayed their support for our actions.   Bruce Lyle spoke to everyone, and many
were friendly to us in this 100th flaggin' of Perdue.   A good day, and a lot of fun for us.

Flaggin # 99 of Perdue The Liar in Macon:    Report by Steve Scroggins:

I got out my 3x5 '56 flag & pole and my LUV-SONNY LIED sign and began pacing back and forth on the front walk at the corner of Fifth & Cherry.  Fairly soon, some were starting to trickle out...the Lexus SUV types would do a double take, then act like they didn't see me.  There were a few smiles.  One old fogey with floppy fishing hat and a suit came by with his elderly wife and said, "You tell him, son, tell him to go see those gravestones at Rose Hill".  I said "Yes, sir, that's why I'm out here."
Perdue finally comes out at 535 and I spot his bald head...he sees me and stumbles...doing a studder step as if he toe hit and uneven spot on the sidewalk.  Then he goes into rapid speed walk pulling Mrs. Perdue along...he's not looking but Mrs. Perdue is staring at me (I suppose the SONNY LIED message is not news to her).

I think the young man with Perdue is his son (carrying the pink jacket on a hanger).  Ain't that just like a TURNCOAT...put on a pink jacket in Macon (Cherry Blossom Capitol) and take it off before leaving.  Several of them eye me nervously as if they expect me to charge.

As Perdue drove away, I furled my flag and as I crossed the street to my truck, a man waiting at the traffic light in a pickup truck said, "You're right, HE LIED...HE LIED!" and I nodded and said "He sure did, I just wanted to remind a few folks.

Flaggin' #98 of Perdue The Liar occurred at the Atlanta Raceway at Hampton.   The banner plane with the Giant Georgia Flag and "Boot Perdue" message was seen by tens of thousands.

Flaggin #97 of Perdue the Liar

George Purdue (or as some are calling him Purdon't, for his not keeping his promises) made his trip to Moultrie on Tuesday last. He flew onto the campus of Moultrie Technical College via helicopter. He was greeted by five members of the famous "Flaggers" on his arrival, the majority were on "public" property near the entrance drives to the campus, while one waited near the landing site all with flags flying.  It's interesting to note that several additional folks were recruited or should I say stopped to join in, asking to utilize extra flags to show their support for the cause.  Over the period of about 3 hours there were several hundred thumbs-up and honking horns while less than a dozen gave any negative signs, either by comment or via visual signs indicating their I.Q. with their center finger.. He left in a white Chevy suburban, and with his usual wave to the men at the entrance headed off to a "private fund raiser", several who had supported him in his first run for the office were absent.
Word from within the monitored event was the gov. mentioned the flaggers at least twice in his comments...

Flaggin #92 of Perdue The Liar

Georgia's next 1 term Governor, "Lying" Sonny Perdue, visited Valdosta, home of the notorious South Georgia flagger Larry "No Quarter" Mercer. Larry got to the appointed spot about 2 hours early and got the prime location which turned out to be about 10' from where the podium would be set up for Perdue to speak. Larry stood his ground beside his bright yellow truck, which is plastered with signs reading "Sonny Perdue is a liar" and other such sayings, the whole time Perdue spoke.

This afternoon the Georgia flaggers went to St. Simons, Georgia, about a one hour drive from Jesup. And guess who was there?
    Chicken Perdue    Spineless and Fowl.
Both Harry and Sarah reported that the public support was overwhelmingly in their favour. Many people would stop and ask to buy the Georgia flag and the Georgia car tag. There was a great interest in the sign SONNY LIED.

Report from the Airport about the "Goodbye Sonny" banner and GA Flag:

Just to let you know how the banner tow went, I was ready for Take Off and a plane landed IT LOOKED IMPORTANT, I Asked the pilot if it happened to be Sonny… It was, I picked the Banner up and circled the Governor at the airport, then headed to the Georgia National fair. When I returned the Governor was also just returning. Needless to say he got a close up 2 times in the one day.

Flaggin' # 88 of Perdue the Liar in Blackshear

THE PUBLIC SENTIMENT  FOR OUR BELOVED SOUTHERN HERITAGE REFUSES TO DIE ! ! ! IT WAS INDEED AS STRONG AS I'VE EVER SEEN IT, AS I SQUARED OFF THIS A.M. ON MAIN STREET IN BLACKSHEAR JUST A LITTLE BEFORE 10:00............

I WAS ONE BLOCK AWAY FROM THE OLD TRAIN DEPOT.....( A.K.A. THE PIERCE COUNTY CHAMBER OF HORRORS ) AND THERE WAS A SMALL CROWD ALREADY GATHERED OF ABOUT 18 - 20 VEHICLES, AND THEY HAD A GOOD VIEW OF ME, (BUT NOT THE EXCELLENT VIEW THE MAIN DRAG HAD) AS TRUCK AFTER CAR AFTER VAN PARADED BY WITH HORN HONKS, SHOUTS, THUMBS UP, AND FOR THE FIRST TIME SINCE I BEGAN FLAGGING, THREE PEOPLE STOPPED TO GIVE ME MONEY ! ! ! OF COURSE I DECLINED AND EXPLAINED THAT THERE WERE AT LEAST TWO POLITICIANS IN"THAT THERE BUILDING" THAT THINKS IT PROPER TO BASH SOUTHERN HERITAGE, THEY WERE " TWO PEAS IN A POD ", AND THE POD NEEDS TO BE VOTED OUT COME ELECTION TIME.
ONE BLACK S.U.V. SLOWED DOWN TO SNAP A PIC OF ME IN MY DIXIE OUTFITTERS SHIRT AND CONFEDERATE FORAGE CAP, THEN TURNED AROUND
PULLED UP, AND GOT A CLOSE UP SNAP.
BUT THE HIGHLIGHT MUST HAVE BEEN WHEN A REPORTER FROM THE BLACKSHEAR TIMES SNAPPED A SHOT, GOT A STATEMENT FROM ME, AND SAID THAT I SHOULD BE IN WEDNESDAY'S PAPER ! ! ! THE THEME OF WHAT I TOLD HIM WAS THAT SONNY LIED,  ( I BRIEFLY TOLD HIM HOW SO HE'D KNOW THAT ALL US REDNECKS A'INT STUPID ), WE REMEMBER, AND WANT EVERYONE ELSE TO REMEMBER TOO.......
AFTER ENCOURAGING EVERYONE WITHIN EARSHOT TO VOTE, ENJOYING THE SEVERAL PEOPLE WHO STOPPED TO SHOW THEIR SUPPORT
AND JUST PLAIN BASKING IN THE GLOW OF THE UNDYING LOVE THAT THE OVERWHELMING MAJORITY HAS FOR OUR BELOVED SOUTHLAND, I WRAPPED IT UP AROUND 12:30 WITH A SENSE OF SATISFACTION AND PURPOSE......GOD SAVE THE SOUTH............

Today's flaggin' of the NAACP and the Mayor of Augusta, Georgia

Last night, the voters in Wallace Sholars district were reminded of his treachery in removing the 56 flag of Georgia.
Approximately 60 Democrats, and supporters of Sholars were at a BBQ in Climax Georgia, attended by such notables as Mark Taylor, Terry Coleman, Cathy Cox and defeated turncoat senator Harold Ragan.
Considering the supposed importance of his guests and the free food, you would have thought the numbers would have been larger.
There were 3 ways into the Pavilion where it was being held. About 20 Sack Sholar signs mysteriously appeared on the 3 roads into it before the event started at 6:30.
The event was also attended by a dozen hard core flaggers from the SW Georgia area.  We split up evenly and covered the three means of entrance and egress into the event equally.   Report by Pete Giddens

Flaggin # 87 of Perdue The Liar Houston County High School in Bonaire      Report by Jim Wood

Flaggin #86 of Perdue The Liar was at  at Jeffersonville - Report by Jim Wood

Flaggin' #85 of Perdue The Liar was reported at the East Hall High School, Gainesville, GA.

The announced time for Lying Sonny's "Governor's Cup Announcement" was 11:00 - 11:30 a.m.  I arrived at the school around 10:30 a.m.  I had just parked and got out with my flag and sign when two Hall Co. Deputies drove up and got out and told me that I could not protest on school property.  I was on the side of the road on the school side.  They had me to move my car to the other side of the road and they set up a protest area with cones and yellow ribbon.  I told them that I was not there to cause trouble that I was only exercising my 1st amendment rights by protesting Lying Sonny.  The ribbon said, "crime scene do not cross".  I thought, how fitting with Lying Sonny on the other side of the yellow ribbon.

Two helicopters landed one at 11:24 and the other at 11:28 one of them bringing the LIAR.  The copters were there two and four minutes and lifted off.  I got lots of response from the students both going and coming from their class rooms to the gymnasium.

One lady stopped and told me that she agreed with me but why take such a big chance.  I asked her, why not?  I said to her that we didn't elect Lying Sonny to make his own flag did we?  She said, "hell no".

The helicopters came back over when the "Governor's Cup Announcement" was over and Lying Sonny slipped out in a sheriff's car with all the lights flashing with a whole convoy of cop cars behind him with their lights flashing.  He took me by surprise and I didn't realize what was happening until he had already gone by and threw up his hand at me.  I was expecting him to leave the school by helicopter.  Another day in the life of a lone flagger.

Flaggin' #83 of Perdue the Liar in Dalton at the Trade Center by Rod Waller, Brian Johnson and Steve Hall.

Flaggin' # 82 of Perdue The Liar was Bad for him tonight in Acworth.
This was one of our best flaggins yet. Ole Perdue couldn't miss us coming from a 1/2 mile away. What a pretty sight it must have been with all the flags set up on the hill at the entrance to this Multi Million dollar neighborhood. The Cobb County Sheriff's deputies were out in force, but were very professional and friendly. I don't think we have ever been treated better by the law. I didn't see a whole lot of guests going inside. I counted about 8 or 9 cars with some type of political stickers on them, so they didn't have a very big turnout. Of all the people going in, including the regular homeowners not going to the party, I didn't recognize anyone but Perdue.

When Perdue pulled in he got an earful of SONNY LIED, smiling and grinning at us like always. Time is running out on Sonny. Soon he will start to get bothered by it.
Pictures to follow later......   Report by Ken Waters

Flaggin of former King Roy Barnes, with Mark Taylor and Buddy Darden from the Georgia Political Underground:

The scene was at the end of a cul-de-sac located at 1876 Mini Ball Ridge in Marietta Georgia. Imagine the cul-de-sac full of flaggers when one George Buddy Darden arrives. Being that George has a history of shooting people birds, we tried to get him to model his best pose, but he declined to do so for the camera. Instead a very scowling George fired off a missive of 4 letter insults, with a few cowards thrown in.

                                                                                                         {netted over $15,000 for Rick Crawford for Congress}       { People came from throughout Cobb County}

What a Lie. If you discount Rick Crawford himself, and his family, and George and his daddy and momma, and Mark Taylor's body guard, there were a grand total of 9 guests show up for this event. I counted them myself. And 2 of those were that ambulance chaser Guy Drexinger and his lady. BOY, how the mighty have fallen when the current Lt. Governor and the former King Roy can't draw more than 9 guests to a fundraiser. There were more flaggers there than that. And they call that a successful event? Im LMAO! Yep, people came from throughout Cobb and the surrounding area all right, all armed with the 1956 flag. I can assure you that outside the house, they weren't smiling, especially George. But wait, Mark Taylor WAS smiling outside as he shook hands with the flaggers, ask for the bubba vote, and what was that? A vote on the 56 flag? Did I hear that correctly? Is Taylor about to steal the GOP's silver bullet and turn it in them?See photos. Oh, and when Roy came by us, he discovered that he (Roy) is still paying for his treachery 4 years later. Sure looks like it to me.

Lt. Governor Mark Taylor wants our vote for Governor.

Flaggin #81 of Perdue the Liar     Perry, Georgia  at the National Fairgrounds   A near perfect day for our men and women, and not so good for Perdue who felt he had to sneak out the back way to avoid the dozens of protesters still waiting to catch him again as he departed.   Perdue had seen the Sonny Is A Liar signs from Macon to Perry on I-75, and then he was struck by a sea of red flags as he left the Interstate.  Several people paid $10.00 to eat with Chicken Perdue, but they all had to pass by our protest declaring Perdue to be The Liar.   So many flags were waving on a line covering two blocks, that we must have looked like an army to Perdue and gang.   In fact, about six to eight patrol cars were sent to harass us for the day.  Such a waste of tax payer funds for all these patrol cars just sitting under the trees all day.   If a crime occurred near Perry on this day, I'm sure they were able to escape.  I was not so lucky, as one patrol car waited three hours until I pulled into the road and gave me two more tickets to go with the eleven political payback tickets I am already holding.   I promised this Gestapo lackey that we are going to get him a new boss and that this harassment only strengthens our resolve.

Our protest of Perdue the Liar was covered by TV, Radio, and the local newspaper reporters.   Enthusiasm from the public on I-75 and the local traffic was great, without the usual birds we get around Hellanta.   If this was Chicken Perdue's re-election kick-off, then he's really in trouble.   Flaggers came from everywhere:   Toccoa, Cleveland, Dalton, Chickamauga, Hiram, Mableton, Powder Springs, Lawrenceville, Hellanta, Macon, and from all parts of Middle and South Georgia.   A Black flagger even came from S. Carolina to help.   And we can't wait until Perdue braves us again!   The more his police hassle us and write us tickets, the madder we become.   He is going to be another one-termer.   And after November, he will be our only target who must pay for his treachery.

Part of Court House Flag Rally in Calhoun, Georgia

Flaggin # 80 of Perdue The Liar   Douglasville, Georgia, county Court House.   Sonny may decide to travel at night in the future, as today he was blinded by about a hundred "Punt Perdue",  "Sonny Is a Liar", and "Sonny Lied" signs someone placed everywhere on I-20 and everywhere around and leading to the Court House.   His day wasn't made any easier when he arrived to find the entrance smothered and covered with scattered '56 flags and angry betrayed voters.   It was also here in Douglas County that the Liar stated that we would get to vote on the stolen '56 State flag as he took in our money back when he was only a candidate.   And for sure, the Liar was confronted both coming and going as usual.   He was asked questions inside, but when outside there were none.   Only promises from us!   C'mon out Sonny, we can't wait.  You're going to have to earn that $3,000,000.00 you took from Hellanta's CofC and Arthur Blank for selling out those who supported you.

Dick Cheney was flagged today in Macon because he is a Southern Heritage hater who would not attend a funeral if Dixie was to be played.   What an Idiot.   Thanks to James, Jim, and Mike in Macon.   Their protest made the Macon paper.

Flaggin #79 of Perdue The Liar   Atlanta DeKalb County    On a workday, nine compatriots almost outnumbered the Perdue $1,000.00 a couple dinner crowd.  We were very successful in nailing Perdue The Liar and Gingrey The Liar both coming and going.    All he saw and heard outside was "Sonny Lied" chants, and one could tell he was not comfortable with the entire street being covered with Perdue Is a Liar signs and real Georgia flags.               Thanks to Steve Monk for the picture.

Flaggin # 77 of Perdue The Liar    Andersonville, Georgia

I took a position some distance from the stage but clearly in full view of all the speakers and was soon joined by Ralph Carson.  From that point on we simply observed the Ceremonies while the speakers, including Perdue, nervously eyed our Flags.

After just under an hour in the hot sun, the program finished and Perdue left to the parking lot behind the stage.  No wave goodbye or cordial welcome from him today.

As Ralph and I left the park, many persons stopped us to thank us for being there and congratulated us on our efforts on behalf of our Confederate Heritage.  On the road, both North and South of the Andersonville Prison site were a number of signs proclaiming "Punt Perdue", "Perdue Lied" and "Sonny is a Liar".
I passed in front of the Monument to Commander Henry Wirz, and lo and behold, what decorated his Monument?  Two American Flags.

At the risk of sounding like one of the NAACP types, I was profoundly offended by this act.  First they murder him in the name of "Justice" then they have the audacity to place the Flag of his killers on his memorial.  Perhaps they consider this a "conciliatory" act but to me it was akin to placing a Nazi Flag on a memorial to the Jews of Auschwitz.

When I pointed this out to John, he was even more angered than I was and we came very close to deciding to remove the inappropriate Flags from the Memorial.  Eventually we settled for complaining to the event promoters, protesting this action.   Bud

Flaggin #76 of Perdue the Liar was  Thursday night in Valdosta. We set up early and waved at those attending the $150 a plate supper as they drove in, they had to drive past us there was only one way in or out. Sonny showed up in what appeared to be a Ford Explorer this time. The "VD" (Valdosta Daily) times had gone so far as to say he was arriving by private plane "at no charge to the taxpayers", wasn't that nice. Ya'll can detect sarcasm can't you? Anyway it was a rather uneventful evening and not one time did we see any of the local law enforcement. This event was billed as a "boy scout dinner" but I didn't see not one boy scout and never knew a boy scout that could afford a $150 supper.   Pete Cowart

Flaggin' of the DemoRats Jefferson Jackson Dinner with Lt. Gov. Mark "Fat Boy" Taylor in Marietta.  Notice the flaggin' help we got from Cobb County's finest.  These fellows even blocked the entrance to the Marriott with their bodies and their five patrol cars.   Gentlemen, the DemoRat turnout was so small that we, on the outside almost outnumbered them at their event.   Their next small DemoRat event could be on a Condo deck.

Also, Perdue The Liar signs were scattered, smothered, and covered at GA TECH today simply because TECH invited The Liar to their graduation.

Is there anyone left in Georgia that doesn't know "Sonny Lied"?

Flaggin #75 of Perdue The Liar occurred in Camilla during his Bus Tour.

Flaggin #74 of Perdue The Liar occurred in Moultrie and oh

yes, made the papers and news down here, and in the Atlanta fish wrapper, when sonny signed one of the Sonny Lied signs for one of the young ladies.

Steve Scroggins report

Twelve Georgia citizens reminded Governor Perdue and other citizens of Perdue's failure to honor his promise for a fair flag vote.  Translation:  SONNY LIED.  SONNY WAS FLAGGED.

As always, the reception by citizens (black, white and other) passing by was favorable.  It was a good flagging despite our missing him going in, we got his attention and gave him something to think about.

Thomasville News

With some help from a few businesses on Crawford Street, A REAL Georgia flag is now hanging off the front of one of the buildings that is facing the tent where The Gov. will be cutting the ribbon tomorrow afternoon. He can't miss it! It will be hard for anyone to get it down since the tent is in the way for a truck and ladder to get up to it. (It is real high, and you can see it for blocks away!)

Flaggin' # 70 of Perdue The Liar  in Albany.

Man that was fun flagging Sonny!! You should have seen the big rigs and cars blowing their horns at us and giving us the BIG THUMBS UP!!
At one point the big rigs had to have interrupted the LIARS speech.    Jackson Murphy

Flag protesters dog governor's trail
Albany-- As the Governor spoke Friday morning, flag protestors watched from right across South Slappey. Seven men carried the former Georgia flag bearing the Confederate battle emblem.   Supporters of the 1956 Georgia flag follow Governor Perdue, and regularly march at his appearances. They are not happy that their choice of flag was left off the ballot last election. Bill Waller, and his one year old son Stone, each held the former flag, reminding the Governor they are not satisfied. "We were promised a fair vote on this flag, and we did not get that. So I guess the referendum that we will be getting is on the Governor."  A number of cars and trucks blew their horns and waved to the protestors as they drove by during the Governor's appearance.    posted at 3:50PM by dave.miller@walb.com

Flaggin' #69 of Perdue The Liar
was successfully flagged in Rome and Cedartown this morning on his Tour De Georgia Tour by Alan Dyer, Billy, and another group.
Since Cedartown is my home town and was invaded by the enemy I
felt duty bound to get him good. Mission accomplished! I went up to the
Police Chief and the Sheriff, both of whom I have known all my life, and
tld them what we planned to do and they both said "Go for it!" So we
did.           Perdue actually acknowledged us from the stage! Get used to it,
boss. Three more years. We ain't giving up!
Nil Desperandum!

Flaggin'  #67 of Perdue The Liar in Augusta

Sonny Perdue was flagged at the WJBF television studio in Augusta by a group of heritage supporters. He was there to appear in a local morning television show.  We felt like we accomplished our mission and some people had to go to work so we broke up and went our separate ways but he knew we were there and that was a good feeling.

Flaggin' #66 of Perdue The Liar was at Vidalia Today . A very cordial welcome was given.

Flaggin' #65 of Perdue The Liar was in Valdosta, Georgia From Brad Stephenson and Larry

from the Moultrie Camp and from Jesup.
Sonny's bus pulled right up to where we were standing, turned slightly left,
backed up, left again, backed up, left again, ect., until
they had completely turned that big monster around (the bus
not the governor). The cameras had a view of of us
in the background with our '56 Georgia Flags.

Flaggin' #64 of Perdue The Liar was in Jesup, Georgia, CSA, yankee occupied territory.    12 Southern Patriots gathered on the 19 April, 2004, in front of Rayonier, Jesup, Georgia, CSA, yankee occupied territory. I wish there would have been more

Gentlemen,

This flying banner flew over today's Braves opener and then over our Capitol.   Perdue The Liar may as well get used to seeing his name in the sky, for it's well deserved.  Hey George, what does honesty in Government mean to you?  Never heard of it?

Flaggin' #63 of Perdue The Liar on April 1st.   Over 460 Southern heritage supporters (1/2 Mile Parade) came today to demand a fair flag vote as promised.

HUNDREDS OF GEORGIA CITIZENS MARCHED TO THE STATE CAPITOL IN ATLANTA TODAY TO SHOW THAT THE BATTLE OVER THE STATE FLAG OF GEORGIA WILL NOT BE OVER UNTIL THE PEOPLE GET A FAIR VOTE.

THE CROWD FILLED THE CAPITOL WHERE THEY HEARD GREAT ORATIONS FROM LEADERS OF THE SONS OF CONFEDERATE VETERANS.  SOUTHERN SONGS WERE SUNG BY ALL.

IT WAS A GREAT DAY TO BE IN DIXIE WITH PEOPLE WHO ARE NOT ASHAMED TO BE SOUTHERN.

The parade stretched from Turner field all the way to the capitol. It was an incredible scene. It doesn't look like "its
over" to me, or to this huge crowd of people that took off from work this Thursday either.

There is an old saying, that a picture is worth a 1000 words. What beautiful smiles!

This is what the politicians are really scared of and why they don't want you to have a fair vote. The politicians know
that in Mississippi nearly a 1/3 of the black voters voted to keep the Confederate Battle Emblem on their state flag.
They also know what the outcome of a vote in Georgia would be, and that's why they don't want you to have one.  Ken

Flaggin' #62 of Perdue The Liar       Today in North Hellanta, about two dozen of us caught our Scalawag Governor, Perdue The Liar, Congressman Gingrey, another Liar,  Senator Saxby Chambliss, another RAG flying Scalawag, and Tom Delay also from Congress.   This was one of our most fun filled flaggins ever.  These people seemed outnumbered by our group and they got their eyes and ears filled.  We were loud enough that they even heard our slogans and promises on the rear porch and in the millionaire's house for over an hour.

Most of the flaggers arrived after dark, so this picture really doesn't do justice to the actual scene that took place.

We had a great flagging in S.C. yesterday, my SCV and LOS supports all flaggings in driving distance of us, We had a great turn out to flag ex-governor david beasley, what was so cool is his reception was supposed to start at 7pm, but as usual someone tipped him off that we were waiting, well he did not have a perdue helicopter and there was no back way in so he tried to wait us out till after dark, so we positioned all our vehicles to shine our bright headlights on the flaggers, and the flaggers glowed in the light, like the beakons of Truth we are. So beasley gave up , bit the bullet and took a double cannister of Confederate Battle Flags and the Truth. That is the one thing our enemy fears is the Truth, it is the one thing they can not change and their money can not buy. God Bless You and all Confederates everywhere.   Tom Stafford

Flaggin' #61 of Perdue The Liar   State Capitol on the day after the phony flag referendum.   Notice was served that there will be no peace until the citizens of Georgia get a vote which includes the stolen '56 flag of honor.

PICTURE OF MY NEW STALWART FRIENDS:   JAY AND SAM

Flaggin' #60 of Perdue The Liar:   St Simons Island flagging of one-term "guvernor" Sonny Perdue.  About 18:30 in the evening we assembled at the corner of a major intersection. Jay, as always, did an excellent job in leading us with our National Anthem DIXIE and a few other tunes using a POWERHORN. We received mostly favourable responses from local and non-local people. Even though I never did see the "guvernor"  WE - citizens of Georgia -  were there to show our Confederate colours and display the signs of TRUTH.  The traffic lights and all the stopping and passing cars gave us enough of light to be very visible.

Sonny "The Liar Perdue" flaggin #59 at the Augusta, Richmond County Civic Center. He was attending the opening ceremonies of the Augusta Futurity. We do not have any pictures because of the short notice we had of Sonny's visit here. And did not have time to get a "Demonstrating permit" which is now required for groups larger than 4 people. This is beginning to work in our favor though. Four groups here, four groups there, etc.. SCV Camp # 158 as well as LOS and JBS members in Augusta did the flagging. Thanks goes out to Commander Nicholas Posey, Bill Quattlebaum, Ron Udell and his daughter Katie, Past Commander Woody "Chicken Man" Highsmith, Perry Herron, Carl Miller, Tim Hardin and myself. Also we were accompanied by a gentleman (I failed to get his name) in a Confederate uniform who had an uncanny resemblance to General Pickett. He flagged Sonny earlier in Atlanta and then came to Augusta to get him again. What a trooper!

We had three trucks continuously circling the block around the civic center. Two of the trucks had frames made of 2X4s, which had an assortment of four "SONNY LIED" and "LET US VOTE" signs on each side, a total of eight signs per truck. Our 2nd Lt Commander, Bill Quattlebaum, came up with this innovative idea. It worked great. These signs were like rolling advertisements against "Liar Perdue" and were seen by thousands of people as they approached the civic center. The third truck was flying three Real Georgia Flags, two window flags and a 3'X5' flag. Another great advertisement for our flag of honor.

As Sonny's car came buy us he stopped to see "what was a goin on". As I pointed the way to the Sonny lied sign with the "featherless yellow chicken" sitting atop the sign, Sonny gave us that "Dear in the Headlight Look" with the fake smile and red face. He showed a great deal of consternation which means he was definitely moved! As Sonny exited his Crown Victoria with Fulton Co. plates, we nailed him. I shouted to the top of my voice, "You are a liar sir", "Sonny Lied" and "Punt Perdue" etc. His head showed a very "Rosie Colour". We also handed out fliers "Why we Demonstrate" and the "Stop the Atlanta Talliban" flier. Ninety percent of the people that we approached were favorable of our demonstration. We stayed around until the crowd had diminished then we departed. While leaving I shouted to one of the Richmond County deputies, " I enjoyed it" he replied, "So did I".

Flaggin' # 58 of Perdue The Liar was a grand event at the Christian Coalition annual meeting on the North side of Hellanta just inside the perimeter.   It was like a who's who of Scalawags including "The Liar".   Some of those attending were also strongly in favor of the People getting a fair flag vote.  We filled up a block with about three dozen flag wavers and many signs.  The roads leading to this event had "Sonny Lied" posters for about 6 miles back to Marietta.   There was a very large crowd in attendance and hundreds of cars of observers at the schools across the street.   Also there was constant traffic blowing car horns in support.  The Liar was caught both coming and going on this day which we started flaggin' at 6 A.M in 22 degree weather.   Ladies were with us all day, and Perdue "must" also know that his re-election chances are gone.

From the Atlanta Constitution:     Early arrivals were greeted by about 30 uninvited Confederate heritage advocates who waved the state's defunct 1956 flag and held aloft signs denouncing Republican Gov. Sonny Perdue, whom they blame for not including the banner, with its dominant Rebel emblem, in the upcoming state flag referendum.   (There was also a picture of some flaggers.)

"CHRISTIANS GOOD. LYING POLITICIANS BAD," read a large handmade sign tacked to a utility pole.

Flaggin' # 57 of Perdue the Liar occurred at the City Hall of Smyrna today and we were covering the front of the building with about a dozen of us angry voters before daylight.  We  didn't wait for him to leave because we rushed to Flaggin' # 58.  He was told here today about how he lied to us while we were supporting him for Governor.

Perdue the Liar was a no-show for the 6th event where we were ready for him.  This time some misguided people at the Smyrna Moose Lodge wanted to give Perdue The Liar an award, but he was a no-show.  Could it have been because we were covering the only entrance that he made so many hundreds upset.  Perhaps he'll lose many votes on this day.

Flaggin' #56 of Perdue The Liar in Dallas

We set up a sea of flags signs, props, portable 20 foot poles, the usual stuff and had quite a nice display set up for Perdue. Right at 9AM, and on cue, Perdue the Lair flies in and due to power lines and trees had to circle right over the top of us not 20 feet up. It was a hoot. He lands in the park and ride lot and proceeds to get out to boos and chants from us as we had walked across the street to the Armco barrier atop the hill overlooking the park and ride. This actually turned out to be the perfect spot. Perdue was inside for about 20 minutes then came outside to see a demonstration of new SWAT equipment.

For 15 solid minutes we cut loose on Perdue from less than 100 feet. The chants of Liar Liar Liar echoed off the buildings. No one there could miss it. The law enforcement allowed it to go on and never said a word. I was quite surprised given their initial reaction. Poor ole Perdue caught merciless hell for 15 minutes. This had to be terribly embarrassing for him. He then goes over to get in his copter and waves at the 8 of us up on the hill. This was like José's heights X 10.   All in all, a great flaggin.

Of course as many of you are aware, today began the 2004 session of the Georgia General Assembly, and one only had to either walk outside and look up at the sky, or visit the area most heavily covered in news cameras inside the capitol rotunda to learn the cold hard facts, the Flag issue is far from OVER!

Returning for its second year in a row is what has been dubbed, the "Confederate Airforce". Pictures can better explain. The banner read FAIRNESS Let Us Vote, and circled not only around the Gold Dome, but around the entire city for several hours. We understand that it will be back soon?

Now Lijah is using Perdue's own signs against him. I suspect that Perdue the Liar will get an eyeful of this tomorrow morning in Dallas.

Report on King Roy flaggin':

This is an example to what happens to flag changing ex-Governors a year after being thrown out of office.
This will never end for Roy as long as we draw breath.

The scene, Howard's Restaurant located on historic Concord road in Smyrna Georgia. The event, the Cobb County Democratic party monthly breakfast with former ex King and Georgia 1 term Governor Roy Barnes as guest speaker. The plan was to arrive around 8:40AM. When I arrived a few minutes late, Tim Pilgrim, Elijah Coleman and about 7 or 8 others were already on scene. Shortly thereafter the Yankee Cavalry arrived in full force. At one time, they had 6 cop cars on the scene. One walked over and asked Tim who was the leader of the group. Tim's reply was there was no leader, we were just a bunch of mad citizens. The cop tried to suggest that we were on private property and had to vacate. After a short explanation that we were in fact on county right of way, "public property" and are you listening Guy Drexinger, had a legal protest permit, the Yankee Cavalry relented, drove across the street and parked in a gas station to observe for the next 2 hours. After that they were quite nice and allowed us free reign.

At that point I noticed that ole Roy had snuck in early to avoid us. Unfortunately for him, he parked his black Lincoln about 20 feet from where we were standing, so we simply decided to endure the very cold weather and wait him out.

Picture the scene. The thermometer on the bank down the street read 26 degrees, and the wind howling must had wind chills down in the middle teens, and it tried to spit snow a few times, but the fun was about to start.

I have heard many people say that there is little difference between the democrats and republicans. There is indeed one difference that I have noticed after 3 years of political activism, and that is? The democrats are always the ones to shoot you birds, the ole middle finger salute. I call it showing us their IQ. I do NOT recall ever seeing a republican politician shooting us a bird. Demorat representative Pat Dooley of Marietta is by far the worst. Today's victim? None other than that tired old worn out needs to find him a nursing home, George "Buddy Darden" decided to show us, with emphasis I might add, his IQ upon exiting Howard's restaurant. I love to goad these scalawag politicians into doing that. Victory is achieved when you can get high profile politicians to shoot you a bird. You know you have got under their skin. The flaggers as far as I know never use vulgar language or shoot birds, we leave that for the others.

Eventually poor ole Roy had to come out, and as he walked across the parking lot, boy did he catch hell. He then gets into his trademark Black Lincoln to exit but is caught behind 2 other cars trying to turn onto a very congested 4 lane that was having some trouble. For 5 solid minutes poor ole Roy caught verbal Hell not 5 feet away from where we were standing. Its ironic that Roy now has to drive himself around, no more chauffer.

Chants of "we stole your presidency", "we stole your vice-presidency", "Show us you John F. Kennedy's Liars award", and May-Ree will never be first lady rang into Roy's ears for 5 solid minutes. You could tell he was quite perturbed at being stuck in line and could do nothing about it but try and maintain a stoic look on his face as we shouted him down to the point that we ran out of things to say. The police sent an officer over to stand in the parking lot and the officer just stood there laughing himself silly at it all. It was sure a lot of fun. It was fun watching the cop laughing at it all.

It is never going to end for Roy Barnes who once proclaimed, "It will be all over in 3 months" Roy Barnes, February 2001.

The point in continuing to harass and hound Roy? You screw with us, and you WILL continue to pay, even long after being thrown out of office. After all Roy, YOU Created US!
If this fight goes on much longer, and I believe it will, the spirit of the Confederates is very very good indeed.
Sonny Perdue better take note!

Perdue The Liar Flaggin' #55:

Sonny was exposed to another 1 man flagging in Thomasville this afternoon. I felt guilty cause ol William Waller had to get him all alone in Albany I did the same 60 miles down the road.
When I was sure the meeting with Bo Bo  was going strong , I moved to the other entrance to catch the people coming out that had not seen the colors. Everyone waved. They were probably just feeling sorry for me standing in the rain and cold. I was soaked!!
As Bo Bo the clown departed to the west in his Beechcraft King Air , I wished him a speedy trip back to Atlanta on my back-up  hand held radio. He didn't reply to my well wishes.
Would someone from the Tville area let me know if I was on county property or not?  LOL
Pete

Flaggin' #54 of Perdue the Liar at the Cohutta Springs Resort at Crandall, Ga.

Mike Crane was there in the chicken suit, we had "Sonny Lied" signs up, and everything. I was cold and we were a small, but dedicated group. We had to stand outside the property line on Cohutta Springs Rd. because Perdue's 'Goon Squad' made us leave the property, even though we were orderly and dignified.
Sincerely,
Joel Clyde

Also:

There were 4 southerners and a Chicken there to greet the head Chicken at the
chamber of commerce banquet in Crandall.   the road into the event was well
plastered with "sonny lied" and "let us vote" as well as 6or8 Real Ga. Flags. we
stayed the entire time from the first arrival to the last departure so everyone
got a double dose of the truth. plenty of ALLTEL, Ga.Power,  Educators, the area
legislators, and local leaders. we braved the cold and showed them all that this
issue will not go away.  Sonny flew in but circled the entrance so he was shown
the posters and flags.  All in all we are pleased in the showing

Perdue The Liar flaggin' #53

About 15 to 20 citizens grouped at OTC in Waycross to voice their displeasure at being left out of the upcoming flag referendum and for being deceived (duped?) by Sonny Perdue and the Ga Republican Party leadership. The stage was set inside the auditorium with Perdue at the podium and elected officials such as State Reps, mayors, commissioners, etc. sitting behind him. PERFECT!!

Law enforcement and security gave us the "evil eye" for nearly 30 minutes while
we waited for the "target" to arrive. They even went as far as to confront a female flagger and her daughter stating they would be removed if they "disturbed" the event. NEW GEORGIA??

Shortly after Perdue began his speech, two 3x5 REAL Ga flags were raised and a Sonny Lied Let Us Vote sign. At this point Perdue's make up failed for his face glowed blood red...and the jaws on many politicians behind him dropped as their eyes bulged.

No one could really see the flags and sign except the politicians as we were on the back row not to cause a disturbance. It is then that Perdue said something to the effect of "what a great country we have so people as these can do as they are doing" (not a direct quote). It is at that point that the entire audience turned and looked at the flags  and sign and began to APPLAUD!

Shortly afterward, we went outside and began to flag outside the college, catching
the traffic as it came by and those that were entering and leaving. Again, public support was great. Many newspapers took pictures and got quotes from several flaggers.

After the meeting was over,  we left and took position across OTC. Jay gave a first class performance singing our National Anthem "DIXIE".

And even more from another report from Kipp Pittman:

What a way to start the day! This was it...I'm talkin' righteous experiences, people...we had a absolute BLAST!!!

I  probably had a little too much fun with my report...go inside the mind of a veteran flagger as he enters unchartered waters:

Carl Sears & I had conspired last night before after the camp meeting to go low profile on this one and slip INSIDE to flag Perdue...a first for both of us...actually, the word "conspire" denotes some prior joint planning venture...Carl had evidently thought on this for at least minute before he introduced me to the concept...I was hesitant...I was thinkin' "For the Cause!" and tryin' to conjure up an image of my ancestors...this visual of callin' my bride to sign a property bond kept flashin' in my mind instead...

See...I was lookin' at Carl's eyes...I'd learned to recognize "the look" early in my youth...in fact, the first time I recall seein' that peculiar glint...a few moments later I was diving...nearly forty feet from the top of a rather smallish long-leaf pine into Puddin' Creek...most guys know the look I'm talkin' about...the one that says, "I got'em if you got 'em"...my condolences to those men who have lost brothers and close friends as a direct result of "the look"...

I tore out for Waycross this morning just as soon as I dropped my daughter at school...rain spattered on the windshield...flashes of the phone call still caused me to wince...I drank more coffee to steady my nerves...yeah...like that works...

Arrived at Searstown (formerly known as Dixie-Union) just before 9:00...Carl was removing WMD's from his truck and storing them in the house...I thought, "Okay...that's a good idea...no federal charges is a good thing"...we then departed for Okefenokee Tech...

We arrive at Okefenokee Tech well before 10:00 and park opposite the school, next to the street...as with every gubernatorial visit, there's law enforcement everywhere you look...this aspect never bothered me before...we begin preparations as other non-conspirators arrive and are informed of "The Master Plan"...general concensus seemed to be, "Okay...worst case scenario...we can make bail"...

The sign is rolled...flags furled and secreted...we head for the entrance to the auditorium...I'm lookin' at Carl's truck and my truck and thinkin'..."We've been doin' this for three years...the local newspaper editor has already forewarned that "flaggers" will be present at this function...probably every law enforcement officer in South Georgia has seen these two trucks from Confederate hell...and I'm wearin' a jacket with a one-foot-square SCV logo on back...yeah...this is low profile a'ight...

Carl & I position ourselves in the center of the back row...Sam Lyons stands next to the left exit...Jay Lawthorne next to the right...Monika & her daughter take seats down front with their camera...others take seats with Carl & I on the back row...we're scrutinized rather closely by OTI security, police, and sheriff's deputies...word comes back that Monika and her daughter have been warned by an officer that they will be removed if they create a disturbance...seems Monika's daughter wis wearing a Southern heritage T-shirt...known by law enforcement to be the apparel of choice among troublemakers and political terrorists...

I reach for my camera and notice a sheriff's deputy unusually interested in my movements...security guard at the other end of our row is obviously interested, too...I pull the camera from the case...deputy looks away...security continues to scrutinize...I manage a smile..."Hey Carl...I think we're gonna get tossed."...there's that look again...and the mental image of the phone call...

Jay comes over and takes the seat between Carl & I..."Gettin' crowded in the corner...this is better"....Jay chatters on about some Led Zep video and bales of cotton bein' hauled up a ramp (???)...I realize Jay doesn't know how to whisper ...Carl & I play eye contact games with the officers...I've resigned myself to a showdown when Jay finally manages an actual whisper..."Are we goin' peacefully or is there gonna be a layin' on of hands?"...I look at Jay...I can see he recognizes "the look"..."I'm with ya, Brother"...Carl is grinnin' from ear to ear...I'm thinkin'...this ain't gonna be good...

Perdue finally arrives, jokes briefly with the speaker during his introduction, and then takes the podium...Jay & I stand with a full-size GA flag...Carl holds up the "Sonny Lied" LUV sign...I glance to the left...Sam & cohort have their flag up...lookin' back at Sonny, his face becomes beet red...other than a few dislocated lower jaws on the stage, no one else has noticed us...and bein' the consumate politician, Sonny doesn't miss a beat..."Isn't it great to live a in country where we have the freedom to express our opinions like these folks in the back?"...heads turn and the applause begins...grins break out all around...we ain't gettin' tossed...Sonny suggests Georgia would be a much better place if "we all had the passion these people have for their cause"...he acknowledges we are welcome and suggests that it is not necessary we remain standing...no thanks, Sonny...we're content to stand...

Sometime later Jay and I are exploring creative ways to hold the flag aloft...tryin' to relieve our arms...while Sonny limits his gaze to the front few rows and drones on and on about his legislative priorities while being confronted the entire time with his biggest political problems...us and the flag...

I forget which issue he was commenting on when he said, "It's for the people of Georgia to decide, not something we should decide for them." I'm thinkin'...evidently this is a very selective ideology...while pointing to the flag...

We depart as Sonny steps from the podium and immediately take more familiar offensive positions across from the college entrance with many more flags and signs...this flagging becomes a virtual fun-fest for veterans, first-time flaggers, and a few local college students who decided to take part...Dixie blaring on my horn providing background...thumbs up...honking horns...waves...smiles...laughter...news cameras...quotes for the reporters...a good time is had by all...

Before departing for a lunch celebration, we pose for pictures in front of "The Rebel"...a semi-tractor belonging to a friend, Wendell Moore, of Willacoochee...Wendell is elated with his first flagging experience, even though he arrived after we had already entered the auditorium...lunch was equally enjoyable as we stood and launched into a rousing chorus of Dixie lead by Sam Lyons after Lawanna Haskins blessed our meal...Ole Times Country Buffet will never be the same...

Sending photos later tonight after I reduce them to a suitable size for email...
Mission accomplished...and I didn't have to make the dreaded phone call...

Perdue The Liar flaggin' #52

Sonny Perdue was flagged again in Albany today.  My son, Thomas Jackson
"Stone Waller," and I attended his reception at the airport.
The old timers were carrying signs in support of the Southwest Council
on Ageing.  Obviously they were there to protect their special interests
from the budget cuts that have been announced.  So, I didn't feel too
bad about having my real Georgia Flag, a hand held flag on a stick (my
other son's personal Georgia flag.)

While the Guvnah was speaking, I stood in the back waving the flag.  The
looks on the local Repubs's faces were priceless!  After the reception,
the press gathered around the podium to ask him questions.  (He didn't
take any from the audience.)  I went up there with my Deck of Shame and
yelled out that I wanted to get an autograph!  He said, "I saw you back
there with your flag."  I handed him the Sonny Joker card and a Sharpie.
He signed it.  Too bad it didn't make the cameras, but he knew I was
there!   The evening rain also brought out lots of "Sonny Lied" signs on both
sides of the road going to and from the airport.  I don't know for sure
who put those out, but it was a very nice touch.
William Waller

Perdue the Liar Flaggin' #51 on WEDNESDAY Was AT THE OCONEE COUNTY CIVIC CENTER IN WATKINSVILLE .

I would have been on time to flag everyone on arrival but I had trouble locating the place but did flag everyone as they were leaving.  The sign out front said the temperature was 26 when leaving.  I had a thought while everyone was coming out that all these people made arrangements so they could be there to listen to lying sonny..  Lum Petitt

Perdue The Liar Flaggin' #50 was at the Stephens County High School Gymnasium in Toccoa on Wednesday Jan. 7,  I arrived and began flagging at 2:00 p.m.  Lying sonny at 2:58 p.m. circled on his arrival in helicopter to check out flaggers.   Very little LAW ENFORCEMENT was present since there wasn't  the usual large group of flaggers to harrass.  I received lots of good response and very much enjoyed my flagging session but would have been much better with a good flagger turnout. I flagged from 2:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. with my real GA Flag and Let Us Vote, Sonny Lied sign.  Lum Petitt

   Perdue The Liar Flaggin' #49 Augusta                     DSC06213.JPG (378989 bytes)             DSC06202.JPG (396354 bytes)

The flagging went great! We had 23 Southern patriots, with lots of Real Georgia Flags and plenty of "Sonny Lied" signs, that came out to flag "Liar Perdue" in Augusta this morning. We had five ladies that participated. I did four interviews - two TV Stations, one Radio Station and the Augusta Chronicle Newspaper (a very anti-Southern newspaper). A very large number of people attended this Chamber of Commerce luncheon, so a lot of people went by us that were going in to hear the governor speak. We had the Chicken Man there (Woody Highsmith did a fantastic job), and Tom Stafford did an outstanding job on the bullhorn.

However, Governor Perdue, in true Roy Barnes fashion, slipped in the back way like a coward instead of coming through the front entrance of the hotel like everybody else. He must have a guilty conscience if he's afraid to come face to face with us. But rest assured, he knows we were there for him. Hopefully we'll get some decent media coverage out of this event.

We did get our message out this morning that we want our vote on our flag of honor, as promised by Sonny Perdue during his campaign for governor.    Nick Posey

Also, here is a report from James E. Green lll from his S. Carolina men who worked this flaggin':

We got to Augusta about 10:40 & parked in Historic Augusta's parking lot where
others were already gathering.  We started tieing flags onto poles & meeting people.  Nancy carried
a 3' x 5' 3rd National, Herb, Harrison, & I each had 3' x 5' GAX & Jillian held the 5' x 8' Naval
Jack.  We headed to the corner & I got Herb to hold my flag while I video taped.  I met the man in the
chicken suit (Woody Highsmith), a Mr. Quattlebaum, Nick Posey & Carl Miller.  Shortly Rev. Bob Slimp
arrived.  About 24 people were there so SC Midlands supplied 5 flaggers (2 Hoys, 1 Green, 1 Gasque, 1
Slimp) + Herb from Ft. Mill SC, so 25% were from Columbia & beyond in SC, so we made a difference!
What would have been 18 flaggers was increased by Slimp & us to 24 flaggers.

Thanks James for driving to Georgia and fighting for this heritage of all Southerners.

Perdue The Liar Flaggin #48  Macon                                                                                                                                           Steve Scroggins report Five Georgia citizens, proud of their Confederate Heritage, reminded Governor Perdue and other citizens of Perdue's failure to honor his promise for a fair flag vote.  Translation:  SONNY LIED.  SONNY WAS FLAGGED.   As always, the reception by citizens (black, white and other) passing by was favorable.  We were interviewed by one AP reporter and local camera crews were on hand from Macon's Fox 24, and Macon's ABC affiliate, Channel 58.  Several other video cameras were there, but they didn't identify themselves or come close enough for a chat.  Our own James Bruce, producer of the Southern Chronicle, was within a few feet of Perdue holding a '56 flag in one hand and his video recorder in the other.  He spoke to Perdue but James indicated that 2-3 others were talking at Perdue at the same time.  It was a good flagging despite our limited numbers, we got the attention of the governor and many other citizens

The setting was historic Macon City Hall.  Macon's City Hall, as the historic marker shown below indicates, served as the Capitol of Georgia and Governor's residence from November 18, 1864 until March 11, 1865.  It was here that the last session of the Confederate Georgia Legislature met.  The building was also used as a military hospital from the battle of Chickamauga in 1863 until the close of the war.  Imagine that...the Georgia General Assembly and the Governor all housed in the same building with bleeding and wounded soldiers brought in by rail from the North Georgia and Atlanta campaigns.  History repeats itself, for in 2004 there will be bloody and wounded people in the Capitol again, only this time the Capitol is in Atlanta and the dead and wounded (metaphorically and politically speaking) will be the legisTraitors who oppose allowing the people of Georgia to vote for their flag of honor, the 1956 flag.  Crew facing Macon City Hall which was specifically created to honor the many who died and suffered in defense of Georgia during the yankee invasion.

Gentlemen:

The Cobb GOP breakfast was a scream yesterday morning. As I neared the Picadilly Cafeteria on Hwy 41 in Marietta I began to see large numbers of "SONNY LIED" and "BOOT GINGER" signs tacked to telephone poles. When I saw these I couldn't help but burst out laughing. When I turned into the parking lot I noticed a huge homemade sign tacked to the telephone pole right in front of the restaurant. It read "GINGREY IS A LIAR". Apparently, the flaggers had found out Congressman Phil Gingrey was to be the main speaker and left him a little gift. When I parked my car I noticed signs were even tacked to the light poles in the parking lot. What a hoot!

When I went in to the meeting nothing was said about the signs. Scalawag Sen. Tom Price came up and shook my hand and asked me if Santa Claus had been good to me. I replied, "Yes. He brought me some more "BOOT CLAY" signs." He frowned and sauntered on off to work the room.

Gingrey gave a speech on his recent trip to Iraq complete with slides of him crawling down into Sadam's "rat hole". After the meeting was over and I went out the front door I was confronted with the most ludicrous sight. Gingrey's staff was standing on the huge SUV they chauffer him around in holding long poles and were trying to pull down the big "GINGREY IS A LIAR" sign. However, they could not grasp it despite standing on their tip toes with the long poles. I could not help but burst out laughing at them. They whirled around and looked at me and I guess thought I had something to do with it, but of course I did not. I hollered out at them to "go down the street to Home Depot and get a ladder". Former State Rep. Frank Bradford was with them, saw me laughing so derisively, and came over to talk to me. "It will all blow over soon," he said in reference to the flag feud.  I replied, "You still don't get it, do you, Frank?". With t! hat I left the Picadilly chuckling to myself. I wish to thank the flaggers for really making my day. That was one of the funniest things I had seen in a long time.
                                                  David Meyer

Some of the "Boot Coleman" sign installers determined to dump this Scalawag Speaker of the GA House.  This picture was taken in Eastman, GA at the court house just before hundreds of signs were installed in 5 counties.

Perdue the Liar Flaggin' #47 occurred at the entrance of South Georgia College for Perdue and his entourage. We were joined there by Pete Giddens and Carl Sears, with young son in tow. We remained on-site for some time, until it was clear that the appearance at the college was over. I learned later that Perdue exited the rear entrance of the college and took in a brief tour of PCC Airfoils before departing.

We heard, we went, we flagged. My thanks to my friends and compatriots for rising so very early to join me for the occasion. And as always, public response was extremely affirmative.   Kipp

Report from S. Georgia on Scalawag Eric Johnson flaggin":

The South Georgia lincolnites (Republicans) met in Brunswick, Georgia, CSA, yankee occupied territory. Lincolnite Eric Johnson was also attending.  Lincoln

There were 10 Confederate compatriots including 2 children waiting for his arrival - without a permit. I can not  stress the importance of this issue - NO PERMIT.  We did get permission from the restaurant manager to park our vehicles in the restaurant parking lot close to the main highway. A few of us attended the lincolnites meeting inside the restaurant along with the Confederate Battle Flag; the sign that is displayed on the pictures stating "Republicans sold-out Georgia Voters" with Johnson's and Perdue's names and each of their picture on it, and the famous "Perdue Lied" sign.

Report from Jack:

However, we did pull a spur of the moment sneak attack on Sen. eric 'the arrogant' johnson.  He attended a republican breakfast meeting here in Brunswick Saturday morning and ten of us greeted him with a few dozen Georgia flags, L.U.V., and "Republicans Sold Us Out" signs.
Most of us spent about forty-five min. the cold Sat. morning on the side of the road in a perfect spot.  We received several positive responses and NO negative ones.
After the twenty to thirty republicans settled in for a nice meeting we got together and decided to crash their party.  (I'm getting good at that)  We took a few flags and signs and just charged in 'amongst em' like General Forrest would.  The party chairman started to squirm when Monika picked a seat right beside him at the head table and said "you dont mind if I sit here, do you?"  And then quickly sat down.
The senator briefly spoke on several things going on in Georgia politics and for our benefit, went over the flag change, how and why it happened.  Then he threw in the same old ridiculous lie about how much the teachers and redistricting influenced the gov. election.  As usual, he spoke with such arrogance.
The attendees were given a chance to ask questions and after several questions, I jumped in the fray.  I told the sen. I wanted to ask him why he voted against Perdue's flag proposal but first I wanted to say - "every thing you just said was completely untrue" and I proceeded to correct him point for point and completely exposed his lies.  I also gave him a little lesson on his job which was to represent the wishes of his constituents and numerous polls showed that Georgians wanted a chance to vote for or against the 56 flag.  His jaw dropped like a rock.  I was too focused on him to catch anybody else's reaction but I think you could have heard a pin drop.
Jay Lawhorn followed up with a few (a little more intelligent I think) remarks just for good measure.  Jay's pony tail and Confederate cap may look country but he has an excellent command of speech and is very articulate with his deep South accent.
All the while, Sam Lyons paraded just inches outside the windows with our flag and a 'Let Us Vote' sign.
As soon as the meeting was over the peeved senator made a bee-line for the exit.  Rep. Jerry Keen (our side) came over to shake our hand and thank us for being there.  Several others came over to talk too.  I noticed that they knew us by first name.
It was a great day in Southeast Georgia.  We completely stole their comfort zone.  Mission accomplished!
Keep the skeer on!  Jack Lipthratt

The 46th Flaggin' of Perdue the Liar was covered by the Marietta Daily Journal and this will be publicity about the flag and heritage fight we couldn't buy.  We completely covered the entrance to Lockheed Martin Aircraft with our real Georgia flags and our Sonny Lied signs.  We didn't see the sneaky Perdue today, but those entering the Lockheed gathering surely warned him there were a sidewalk full of angry voters waiting on him.  Also he will be informed by the local Cobb County press.   Those of us who were there had a great time.  Join us.

What a great night at the Duluth, GA flaggin' #45 of Perdue The Liar! We angry voters, including three ladies, actually lined the street in front of an old Confederate mansion at this Perdue fund raising event. Everyone entering knew for sure that
"Perdue is another Barnes"
"One Rat Gone, One Chicken Going"
"Perdue- Spineless & Fowl"
"Pinochio Perdue"
"Perdue- Another One Term Governor"
"Join the revolution against King George"
"Sonny Lied" and etc.
Tonight the weather was perfect and we really enjoyed flaggin' Perdue The Liar upon his coming and going. Any Republicans attending this gathering must now know that Perdue is in trouble in '06 unless he changes his lying ways. Thanks to Norman for going to Duluth and getting our permit. #45 was special. Join us next time.  The local police and citizens were very friendly.

Chuck Clay flagged by 20 Angry Voters

Tonight's (December 2nd) flagging of Chuck Clay took place at the home of millionaire playboy Robert Moultrie. Mr. Moultrie is obviously no more than a hanger oner. He use to host parties for Roy Barnes, and now recently has done one for Perdue. This flagging took place directly in front of his home, and was a huge embarrassment to Chuck Clay. They had less that 16 people show up by the time we left. But I'm sure we will read in the morning paper that several hundred Clay supporters turned out. The flaggers arrived on the scene around 5 PM, before Robert, (I own the facilities group) Moultrie arrived home. He then stops in the street to inform the flaggers if any of them stepped on his precious yard he would have them arrested. Call the cops, and Shut up please we begged him. Later he comes back out and tells us he is glad we are there. That's another LMAO! That's what they all say, yeah right. The Cobb County Sheriff's deputies shows up a short time later, was very gracious, and proved that 1st amendment rights can be conducted in peaceful and civil and non harassing manner. Around 7PM, we got tired and bored, and left. The only politician we saw was Earl Erhart.   Ginger Collins and Charlie Tanksley were not seen, nor even Chuck Clay.    AT HIS OWN FUNDRAISER.

Scalawag Tom Price flaggin' in Marietta, GA.

Perdue The Liar flaggin' #44 was this morning at the Macon Coliseum.  His dark green SUV passed within ten feet of the Peoples' Georgia Flag..  Perdue was talking on a cell phone and managed a meek little wave.  He didn't look too happy.  Steve Scoggins

Eric the arrogant got a taste of flaggin' in Brunswick Monday evening.  Even though we had only a few hours notice, eight true and loyal Georgians assembled outside the Glynn County School Board meeting where Sen. Eric Johnson and Rep. Jerry Keen met with the board.  Rep. Keen has supported our flag while Eric the turncoat scalawag, even though he is a republican, voted against the guv's proposal and in opposition of most republicans.  (We cant trust either party - and he is president pro tem) We were about to pack it up when eric and his little entourage came out of the meeting.  Eric glanced over at us just long enough to see our Let-Us-Vote/Evict Eric sign.  Rep. Keen waved and we waved back.  Law enforcement was friendly as usual.  Many thanks to those that were able to show up at such short notice.  note - we also had three children and one student joined in until his mother picked him up.  We'll try to work on better communications.  Keep the skeer on.

Flaggin #43 of Perdue The Liar was filmed as he wandered down to Cecil (just north of Valdosta)  for the ground breaking for a new race facility. He was greeted by  S. Georgia heritage and flag supporters for another good ole flaggin.  We will post pictures of these men and their ladies when they arrive.  Pour it on and powder his behind.

Today and tonight a huge gathering of  N. GA. Politicians gathered at the Colonade in Ft. Oglethorpe, GA .   They  let us heritage soldiers know up front that we were welcome in this flag friendly territory.  However, we did not see Perdue The LIar enter this grand gathering opportunity  to proliferate his BS.   Therefore, since this is at least the sixth flagged event he has failed to show up, we must be getting to him.   He certainly hasn't forgotten the flaggin' he received from us this Tuesday in Bremen, GA.

The police were just perfect  in giving us our freedom, and appeared to be in support of the Peoples' GA flag.  Channel 9 TV in Chattanooga covered our colorful Perdue The Liar protest for about an hour.   Coming up the street to the Colonade, there were GA flag poles lining the street, also there were "Sonny Lied" signs spread out and 5 poles with Foghorn Leghorns on top with signs such as:   Perdue Is Another Barnes,  One RAT Gone, One CHICKEN Going,  Perdue -- Spineless and Fowl.   When the cars approached the entrance, they saw flag supporters everywhere.   Even children were on the line repeating "Sonny Lied" to each car.   I was so glad to see so many flag supporters waving our flags, including Rodney Waller, Jimmy Rogers and about four young flag wavers with their Grandfather, Bill Oliver,  Mike Crane and friend, Lum Petitt, and Bruce Lyle with me.  It was great to have the TV crew out filming this flaggin' while all the wealthy contributors were arriving.   They know the flag issue is very much alive.   Georgia Republicans flagged with Georgia State Flag

So although we didn't get the 43rd Perdue the Liar flaggin' today, we were very successful in getting our fight on the TV news with our flags surrounding the background and in getting our message to these wealthiest families in N. W. Georgia.   We couldn't buy this prime time coverage.  Bruce and I enjoyed every minute of it and discussed it on the way back to the Hellanta area.   Join us next time.

Another great flaggin' of Perdue the Liar has gone down. Number 42 was up close and personal this evening in Bremen, Georgia. At 4:30 Rick and I arrived and started setting up our flags, signs, and Perdue chickens. Billy and Bruce came next and got out their flags. Then Joel, Dan, Hoyt and friend, and Janet arrive with more flags. We had a little light rain, but no one missed Perdue The Liar's arrival. Our group of nine tonight looked like two dozen as Perdue arrived just before dark seeing all of our vehicle lights flashing and the entrance smothered. There can be no doubt that he knows that he's been marked as The Liar. We enjoyed a meal at Bilbo's BBQ later where a Project Wave flag pole has been flying our flag for over a year.

Perdue The Liar Flaggn' #41 in Buckhead at the ScalaHAG Sen. Ginger Collins fundraiser.

This was a great flaggin' and it was very successful as we caught both Perdue The Liar and ScalaHAG Collins up very close and personal.  For a while we felt like the men in the Alamo, for there were ten police vehicles called out to our flaggin'.  In my opinion, this action made this flaggin' a very big event, which was good for us.  We had about a dozen flaggers, and with our signs and flags, looked like twenty.  I was glad that Perdue The Liar finally ended his no-show habit.  Can't wait to catch them again.

Perdue The Liar flaggin' #40 in Forsyth, Georgia gave chicken Perdue a view from his copter as Mike Bruce, Jack Gordon, Jimmy Wood, Ben Davis, Bob Watson, Glen Goodson and others flagged him and his guests.  As traffic continued arriving and leaving throughout the hour of the ceremony, they continued to flag those coming and going. As usual, most were friendly and many were supportive, regardless of race generally. Channel 13 TV news covered this successful flaggin'.

Great Day in Waycross, GA.  45-50 men, women and children on the sidewalk screaming at Eric Johnson for the trash he is. Some other great tactics as well. Most fun I have had yet at a flaggin as reported by Carl Sears.  Ole Eric tried to smile and wave...even managed to hold his head up for a spell...but the chants and yells finally had his eyes eating sidewalk. He won't forget this evening any time soon....nor will the rest that were there.

Scalawag Flaggin' in Dallas   About two dozen heritage supporters gave up their Saturday to fight back against Scalawags gathered here today.  We had a great 5 1/2 hours at this flaggin'.  Perdue Chickens, signs, banners, flags, 3 chicken masks, a blimp, and these Scalawags know they've been flagged.   Perdue The Liar was a "no show".

Saturdays flagging of the Bush-Cheney campaign kick off
Saturday October 4th, about a dozen flaggers assembled for a last minute impromptu flagging of Sonny Perdue the Liar's arrival outside the Galleria mall. Sonny never made an appearance. It was later reported in the AJC he missed the event because he had a cold. HUH? A cold keeps Sonny away from an important event like that? The flaggers covered up the main entrance.

Perdue the Liar Flaggin' #39   Macon Georgia

Jimmy Woods, Bob Watson, Mike Bruce and Bud Cranford await the arrival of Chicken Perdue.  They were able to cover him like batter on a chicken.  Perdue came to be interviewed Live at WMAC Radio (AM-940).   This was before daylight and in the rain, so Perdue was really shocked to encounter being flagged there.   In the second picture you can see Bob Watson (L) and Jimmy Woods (Center) being interviewed by a photographer for the Macon Telegraph (R)     Good show guys.

Perdue the Liar Flaggin' #38

Perdue's dinner this evening in Hellanta with former German Chancellor Helmut Kohl, Hellanta Mayor Shirley Franklin,  and former Russian President Mikhail Gorbachev was closed to the press. That ended up being good luck for our flaggin' demonstration against Perdue The Liar. Fox 5 was not allowed to enter, so they camped out at the entrance with us heritage activists. Our flaggin' of Perdue made the nightly Fox news and will re-appear about 130 AM. We really had an enjoyable and spirited gathering today. Bruce Lyle wore a chicken mask and did a great Perdue chicken walk for the 10 o'clock news. The opening sound picked up Tim Pilgrim's cry that "Perdue Lied" as the cars lined up at the gate. I got in a reply as to why we were protesting Perdue. The flags and signs were in color again and on TV.

Those who passed by us were mostly on our side and this was greater than we expected in this N. Atlanta area. Perdue's RAG II and the Commie flag were flying out of Ken Waters' garbage can base. The Hamlins and Tyler Pilgrim joined us in flag waving and holding message signs at the entrance. No one entered without going through our circle of stalwarts.

undertaker.jpg (289383 bytes)   Douglas, GA     The undertaker of Sims Funeral Home voted "Yes" to H.B 380 and also voted "Yes" to engross H.B. 899. He denied Georgians the right to adopt the state flag of their choice. It seems, based on his voting record, that the dishonorable Mr. Sims finds Georgia’s history offensive by agreeing with the claims of Rep. Tyrone Brooks and the Georgia Black Caucus. The actual text of H.B. 899 compares the men who fought and died to protect their homes, families, and the State of Georgia to the Japanese who bombed Pearl Harbor and equates these Georgia veterans with the terrorists who attacked the World Trade Center and Pentagon.

Flaggin' of Chuck Clay's fund raiser in Marietta.  All Scalawags flagged.

Flaggin' of Hellanta Mayor Shirley Franklin and a nest of Scalawag Demorats, including Wix, Noel, Thomas, Dooley, Stoner, Drexinger, and Squires.  We believe we had as many citizen protesters as these DemoRats had at their fundraiser.  They were greeted in no uncertain terms by about 3 dozen flaggers, our Blimp, and a half acre of real Georgia flags.  This will continue against Scalawags of both parties.

Perdue the Liar Flaggin' #37   Waco, GA.     Ten heritage supporters caught Perdue at

an economic summit at West Georgia Technical College at 3PM. Elijah Coleman was first on scene with his enormous blimp, at least as big as a full size car, and launched it about 200 feet high with a PERDUE LIED banner and a 5 X 8 flag flying underneath it on the tether.

We covered both sides of the roads with flags, props, and hearty souls who felt this was important enough to take time off from work to attend. When the sheriff arrived, the first thing we noticed was a real Georgia flag tag on his car. No problems there.

So here comes Perdue flying in over us in his helicopter to a sea of flags. The look on the peoples faces arriving by car, after passing thru the gauntlet of chickens was hysterical. Everyone was either laughing, smiling or honking their horns in agreement that PERDUE LIED!

Our GREAT upcoming flag referendum. Saddam Hussein versus Saddam Hussein, or the flag of disenfranchisement, versus the flag of dishonor.
Take your pick from the 2 Government mandated choices!!!

Perdue The Liar Flaggin #36  Newnan.  This was was really up close and personal.   The Liar had plenty of time to see the puppet and who is pulling his strings.   Bruce, Wayne, Ken, Billy, and myself.  I really enjoyed this one.  Here's another report:

Well Sonny and crew pull in, and it was like fishing in a barrel. Boy was Sonny not happy at the chants an boos, and being called a damn liar at least 3 times in front of his buddies. Not sure who got out of the SUV with him. The Newnan police Sgt had informed us that Gingery and the Missouri congressman had arrived much earlier. So Billy Bearden posted himself at the back door of city hall just in case. About 90 minutes later, Perdue came back out with double Turncoat "RINO" Senator Dan Lee in tow, and was subject to more "embarrassment":

BARNES the rat is Gone, Perdue the chicken is going going..........,and soon to be gone!

LijahInNewnan.jpg (44253 bytes)  PurdueCenterLijahOnLeft.jpg (44159 bytes)  KenBruceLijah.jpg (49301 bytes)

OH, and Billy Bearden did catch the Liar Phil Gingrey and the Missouri Congressman Akin sneaking out the back way. Yep, they got flagged!

Perdue The Liar Flaggin' #35 occurred at the Capitol with Bruce Lyle, Wayne Shirah, Norman Black, and myself.  We flagged Perdue The Liar today at the Payoff Chicken Roost and forced him to move his press conference to another location. We kept the car horns blowing and Perdue simply got flagged again..

Cairo Scalawag flaggin' of Coleman, Sholar and Broome was a success.

Fred , Jack , Penny ,Wayne , and Pete first greeted the 3 turncoats at their Rotary-Kiwanis eat and greet from 11-2.  We had up a dozen 4x6 flags in holders plus the ones we were holding, along with signs saying "Coleman is a Crook, and 1 reading Sholar and Broome
TURNCOATS. As we were informed, " where Sholar goes so does Broome and vice
versa." Sholar has a veterinarian by the name of Maddox running against him, he announced yesterday. Penny had a copy of Maddox's announcement and put it under the wiper of Sholars mountaineer, just doing him a service in case he wasn't aware..   You could really tell Sholar and Broome were not used to this total lack of respect they received from us. They resembled deer caught in the headlights. The Police told us at the luncheon to remove the flyers from the parked cars, and I told him we wouldn't put any more out. That was ok , flyers were on all the cars already. Didn't remove them.  We left at 2PM and surrounded the Womans Club with Georgia flags on all the fronting sides. We had 6 protestors as
Penny had came back with flagging veteran "Little Callie." and Trent.

Flaggin #34 of Perdue the Liar in Albany   P1010101.JPG (57178 bytes)  P1010096.JPG (34265 bytes)

Sonny has been flagged again!   7 stalwart flaggers withstood 95 degree heat and humidity in the 80's.  It was HOT!!! . Helping flag the liar were Division Cmdr Bridwell, Fred Maxwell, Wayne Gilstrap, William Waller, and T. J. Waller..
They could not miss us on the way out of Albany. Had the blimp flying 1000
yards to the side of  runway 4. He got to see it from the Car and from the
plane as he departed. "SONNY LIED" was truthfully displayed on both it's
sides and a 5x8 real Georgia flag was  fluttering from the Tether line.
People are still enthusiastic about the 56, had several people stop wishing
to buy some but I'm all out. Have to get some more. Had 1 citizen stop, and
help us flag and stayed to help us take up the flags and blimp.

Several stopped by to inquire about joining the S.C.V. and purchasing the real Georgia Flag.  It was noticed that more black hands honked and waved than white.  The Rebel zeppelin made an appearance, and the Division Commander was caught waving the true flag of Georgia...that Rebel!!!

Flaggin #33 of Perdue the Liar in Warner Robbins at the Air Museum.  Perdue was not seen by the flaggers on this day, but he gets posted when we're outside.

Flaggin' #32 of Perdue the Liar in Augusta.  This report from C. Tommy Miller.  Outside the municipal building, a group calling themselves Unorganized Patriots demonstrated against the governor while waving the 1956 Georgia flag.  "Between us and the school teachers, Mr. Perdue lied to us," said Carl Miller, of Grovetown. "He said he'd give us a choice, but he'll be out next election."      Tim Hardin, of Appling, joined the flag-wavers.  "I don't believe Sonny should have broken his promise," he said. "Democrat or Republican, there's no change. Just business as usual."

Apparently, flaggers outnumbered actual attendee's at today's town hall meeting with state representative Alisha Thomas at the Threadmill complex in Austell.P1010067.JPG (149923 bytes)

Flaggers who set up their protests outside the mall entrance became suspicious when it appeared no one was coming, so they with flags in hand, walked inside the mall, and went inside the room where town hall meeting was to be held, and could only count 5 people in attendance, so they sat in. Of course, Thomas who is constantly protected by GBI agents everywhere she goes, called the local police, who arrived, found no crimes being committed and informed Ms. Thomas that it was  a public political gathering, and there was nothing they could do. It would appear today, was not a good day to be Alisha Thomas.

MVC-028S.JPG (34823 bytes)   Perdue the Liar Flaggin' #31  Galleria Mall  Smyrna

MVC-005F.JPG (80222 bytes)After today's ultra successful flagging of Sharon Cooper, Phil Gingrey, Tom Price, and Chuck Clay flagging, several of us went over to the Galleria Mall to wait on Sonny Perdue to arrive.

When we first got there Mall security tried to run us off as usual, but we decided to hold our ground, and told them, NO, you go call the cops. The cops arrived shortly thereafter, said little to us, explained to mall security they had no legal right to run us off the sidewalk, so the flag waving at Galleria and Cobb Parkway continued. As we all were standing around enjoying ourselves, and wondering if Perdue would pull a back door sneak in, I heard Joe Moore say, there's Perdue, pointing behind me. I turned around and couldn't believe it. He pulled right up next to the curb where we were standing and rolled down his window, and proceeded to get into a verbal confrontation with us as we called him a liar and pushed a PUNT PERDUE sign into his face. Perdue said, I NEVER promised a vote on the 56 flag, but just that I would propose it. We proceeded to continue to call him a liar, and he pulled away. This was unbelievable. See photo attached. I couldn't believe Billy Bearden had the presence of mind to take pictures as the rest of us was giving it to Perdue.

Look at the top left corner of the picture, and you will see the bottom right corner of my PUNT PERDUE sign stuck in his face!
Ole PUNT PERDUE don't look too happy!

Perdue The Liar Flaggin' # 30

The meeting was at the Crawford County High School.  After about 15 minutes we heard the familiar WHAP-WHAP-WHAP of the Fowli-copter's rotor blades.  As we watched, the copter set down behind the school, on the Football Field.  The scalawag must have studied the tactics of Jackson, Lee and Longstreet.  He had flanked us again and snuck in the back way.
We stayed at our positions, having fun waving at the motorists, and being interviewed by both the High School Newspaper and the local Paper, until we heard the sounds of the return of the Fowli-Copter.
The three boldest, Jack Gordon, Clinton Crawley and myself decided to try our own Flanking Maneuver and went around the new area under construction, and lo and behold, there was the Copter in the middle of the Football Practice field.  We positioned ourselves so we could see the doors of the building and finally here came the Chicken Perdue who got into a golf cart and headed our way.  I stepped around the bleachers to get his picture and as he saw me he hollered a cheery "How're You Doing?"  I responded with a "Fine, Governor" then added "Kathleen, Georgia..  Two miles from your Home".  He must have had indigestion or maybe a severe stomach spasm, from the expression that crossed his face.  He really looked like something hurt him badly.  I was hoping that finding we were almost neighbors, he would stop and chat.  Perdue boarded his Fowli-Copter and proceeded to make his escape.
Participating were Jack & Jeanette Gordon, Bob and Gloria Watson, Harvey and Diane Ellington, Glenn Goodson, Clinton Crawley and myself, Bud Cranford.  The nine of us made quite an impression on the locals and I believe they would welcome us back.  from Bud.

Flaggers attack Cobb Democratic party breakfast for 2nd time.

The Cobb county democratic party breakfast was once again on the receiving end of some of the 56 flag supporters style of misery. About 8:30 AM, for the second consecutive month, about 25 supporters rallying for the 56 flag assembled on the high ground overlooking Jose's Mexican restaurant on Whitlock avenue in Marietta Georgia. Shortly thereafter the Marietta police arrived on the scene, but the flaggers stood their ground and the protest went on until the demo rats meeting broke up 2 hours later. Flaggers from about 50 feet away, jeered and hollered mightily at the demorats as they both arrived and departed.

Perdue the Liar Flaggin' #29  Macon   This flaggin' was a major success as about 18 of us caught Perdue at the Macon ball field.   While in his copter, Perdue saw the huge array of  Peoples' Georgia flags and his personal flaggers.   But when he got out of the copter, he was met by Janet Baber and a few of our strong minded compatriots who gave him his due.  The blimp could not be launched today because of the storm and later rain-out.  Our friends came from all over Georgia.  We all felt this was one of our best flaggins, and with TV coverage.   These two flaggins had the entire area covered red with our flags.

Flaggin' of Coleman, Birdsong and other Scalawags in Macon         roadside-crew.jpg (36658 bytes)    Two TV stations covered our flaggin' and one newspaper.   Speaker Coleman drove completely around the building to avoid meeting his 15 protestors.  For him, it will only get worse, because we are picking up new flaggers every week.  We need to thank Pete Giddens for installing the props and bringing the blimp.

Perdue the Liar Flaggin' #28     carrollton flaggin1.jpg (10837 bytes)   Carollton

Sonny Perdue's heart would have went into his stomach if  he had saw the welcoming committee assembled for his arrival this morning at the "Commencement Ceremony" at the University of West Georgia Stadium. A huge crowd of 56 flag supporters assembled at the main stadium entrance to greet him. Although  the Gov. sneaked in the back way (sounds like a Roy Barnes tactic) he knew we were there.  The local constabulary was very cooperative (that's how we found out that Perdue got there ahead of us), and we got alot of support from the incoming crowd.

I was told by a police officer directing traffic this was the largest crowd he had ever seen assembled there, and they all had to drive right thru our 56 flag gauntlet. It was like being at a Atlanta Braves game with the traffic moving at a snails pace thru our flagging. The overflow crowding eventually forced the police to close off the full parking lots and turn away people still arriving as late as an hour after the events scheduled start time.

One flagger observed, "this was like fishing in a barrel".

Perdue Flaggin' #27                                                                                                                                      A group of 6 regular Flaggers (including Kip P. & Pete G.) along with a couple of "walk-ons" (non members who just wanted to be part of the action) greeted the governor in Thomasville.  Kip took some pictures and hopefully he'll send them along to you, Pete had his blimp up near the airport.  No matter where he goes we are there.  As he arrived and had to drive directly past us.  Thomasville_3.jpg (191260 bytes)

Perdue Flagin' # 26                                                                                                     Today Perdue The Liar was flagged for the 26th time at the Georgia Capitol by several of us including Lum Pettit from Cleveland, Norman Black from Norcross, Janet Baber from Alabama, Wayne Shirah from Temple, Joe Martin from Mableton, Larry Cadle from Smyrna, and the Colemans, Rhett, Chase, and me. The Perdue Gestopo came out and told us for the first time ever that we need a permit to be in front of our Capitol, so we simply moved to the sidewalk in front of the Capitol. Later they came again and ordered us to walk, but not around the Capitol. Gentlemen, we are getting on their nerves. Perdue is getting desperate. Remember how King Roy finally stopped his public appearances and went to TV only? Hey, but we told him not to sign that Bill 380 and become the Liar. There is a chance we will be on Channel 11, NBC Atlanta TV and a newspaper.

Today we flagged Scalawag lawyer Sen. Charles Tanksley at his Marietta law office for two hours. It was understood that he did not want us to be there, and it was a great day for this flaggin'. Ken Waters had a surprise for us that worked perfectly to compliment our task.

Perdue Flaggin' # 25                                                                                         Eleven of us were highly visible today in Perry and were definitely seen by Perdue and a few thousand residents.  We began at the Front doors of the Agcenter/Fairgrounds building where the educational Seminar was being held, but soon moved to one of the busiest intersections in Perry, at the corner of the Agcenter/Fairgrounds, with Flaggers on all four corners.  We even had more locals join us while it was in progress.

We got coverage of our "work" from the Houston County Paper.

Flaggin' #24 of Perdue:

Newnan High School. Saturday with Sonny.
2nd stop via Helicopter fly-in. Billy Bearden reports that Perdue was flagged.

Flaggin' # 23 of Perdue:

A group flagged Perdue at Valdosta State College and got lots of thumbs up.  This flaggin' also got lots of good local press coverage.  Perdue should have listened to those who elected him, instead of following King Roy's every trick and scheme for the naacp and aipac's Hellanta Chamber of Commerce.

Fourteen of us flagged two Scalawags (Clay and Telihet) for 3 hours in front of their law office. The Police were called and threatened us with arrest if we weren't quiet. So we solved this problem with a sign I made reading as follows

Honk For Your Flag!

We couldn't raise our voices, but their was a constant sound of car horns for the next two hours. I'll bet they didn't get much legal work done in these Scalawags' law offices today.  We felt we beat them at their own game.  At least we were very satisfied. This is most rewarding payback for Lawyer Legislator Scalawags.

Report from Billy Bearden:

Upon my arrival Terminator Robo Cops (T1 & T2) were in a excited discussion with Tim (The MAN) Pilgrim over the legalities of speaking aloud at today's function. It would seem the inhabitants of the law(?) offices were still SHELL SHOCKED over the bullhorns from last time and they would not tolerate anything above a whisper.I figured since they talked with Tim and didn't involve me - I was immune, so I would howl , whistle & cheer motorists. Imagine being hauled off to jail for talking too loud at a protest....
Activist Mother Taffi and her wonderful 3 children helped wow the passersby.  Initially it was rather quiet, but Lijah whips out a "Honk for your flag " sign and for the remaining 2 &1/2 hours were filled with HUNDREDS of horn blowing motorists ! It turned out better than expected as some of the horns (Bud Light truck, Construction trucks, Ambulance siren & Dan's SUV alarm) had EXTRA Uumph :-)
No one made an appearance at the front door, nor did the curtains move , but boy the police were hot, making rounds about every 5 minutes.

Number 22 Flaggin' of Perdue:

Today eight of us flagged Perdue The Liar at the Peoples' mansion. Perdue even sent his son out to check us out on W. Paces Ferry Rd. He really got an eye full of 7 Perdue Roosters with signs, and more than a dozen flags. I forgot my camera, so there are no pictures today. Wayne Shirah held our right flank at the entrance gate and talked to Nick Ayers and Perdue's son. He told them that the flag got King Roy defeated and got Chicken Perdue elected. We didn't have anything to talk with him about except getting our stolen flag returned.

Flaggin' #21 of Perdue The Liar   Sea Island, GA   From the newspaper:   Waycross Journal Herald   Carl Sears reports:  Jen, Jay, Tina.jpg (216324 bytes)

SEA ISLAND- Gov. Sonny Perdue was determined that nothing was going to ruin his day.
Here Tuesday for the announcement that Sea Island would be the site for the international G-8 economic summit, Perdue sneaked onto the island to avoid being 'flagged' by protesters, one of the flaggers said.
He snuck past us said Jay Lawthorne of Brantley County, one of the die-hard protesters who don't miss a chance to flag the governor when he visits the region.
We think he rode past us in a red SUV that had windows tinted so dark we couldn't see inside said Lawthorne. One thing about it: we might not have seen him but he had to see us.
About 20 flaggers stood at the entrance to the island at the Sea Island Causeway. They displayed about 25 of the old state flags and St. Andrews Cross flags.
It was the same site that they stood on to flag Perdue about two months ago when he attended a chamber of commerce meeting there.
Many people are angry that Perdue didn't come through on a campaign promise to give Georgians the chance to reinstate the former state flag at the polls.
We had three or four people who showed disdain for us. But we had far more- I would say between 25 and 40- to respond to us in a positive way, giving us thumbs up, honking their car horns.  Lawhorne said state legislator Tyrone Brooks, the old state flag's biggest enemy, drove past the protest site Tuesday.   We saw him said Lawhorne. He was just shaking his head.
Just returned from another flaggin on the road to Sea Island.  The guv was there with about 450 invitees to discuss the possibility of hosting next years Summit Meeting of the G8.  We weren't sure which official government vehicle with tinted windows he was in but he had to come between about twenty real Southerners to get to the meeting.  We got plenty of good response and a few negative ones.  Actually we received quite a bit of positive response even from the rich folks coming off the island.  Better than I expected for St. Simons Island, a bastion of yankees.  Overall, I was very pleased with this flaggin.  Looking forward to the next one.  Keep the skeer on!

July 4th:   Twelve of us caught the Johnson Farm anti-Southern DemoRat lovefest by surprise again this year.  They were flagged, condemned by loud speakers, and distressed by all the passing car horns (blowing for our flags) going up and down AUSTELL ROAD for two hours.

Later we moved to Powder Springs to our Confederate booth.  We handed out flyers,
sold a few things, and raised the 15' blimp.  This had a 5X8'  Peoples Georgia flag
and a banner saying PERDUE LIED.   We had a good time on this day.

Perdue Flaggn' #20   Sonny Perdue was flagged today in Peachtree City, Georgia at the 4th of July Parade. He would not look at the area I was standing until I called him chicken little. He could not help but see the huge 56 Georgia flag when I told him we had not forgotten.  Harold Harrison

Perdue Flaggin' # 19  Toccoa,  where thousands saw the Perdue Signs, Chickens, our Real Georgia flags as held by Janet Baber, Norman Black, R. W. Moore, Lum Pettit, Nelson Waller, 3 local Compatriots, and me for four hours.  There were too many people there to be from one county, so we must have flagged N.E. Georgia.  We were interviewed by the local press and local radio.  In the picture you can see the Perdue Chickens (Spineless & Fowl), flags and a few of the first flaggers.   Next time, join us for the fun!   Toccoa.jpg (36511 bytes)

Macon Telegraph    Perdue, Coleman face anger of flag protesters

In Atlanta, Gov. Sonny Perdue and House Speaker Terry Coleman are political rivals, but in Middle Georgia on Wednesday, they spoke with one voice.  They were also the combined targets of a group of protesters upset about the exclusion of the Confederate battle emblem from the state flag referendum. They faced flag protesters at events in Eastman, Bleckley County and Perry.

Greeting them at the entrance were about 20 protesters who staked out the road with a couple dozen previous state flags that prominently featured the Confederate battle emblem. Protesters said they are upset with Perdue for not vetoing the bill on the flag referendum and with Coleman for casting the deciding vote that excluded the battle emblem. Judging by signs that read "Sonny lied" and "Perdue is through," the governor appeared to be the primary target.

"Our problem is the fact that he publicly insinuated and privately told people we would have an opportunity to vote on the (battle emblem) flag," said A. Jack Bridwell Jr., division commander of the Sons of Confederate Veterans.

Protest turnouts in Bleckley County and Perry were smaller, with about a half-dozen showing up at each location.  detention.jpg (55612 bytes)

PERDUE FLAGGIN' # 12  Columbus, Georgia on Thursday.  Ledger Paper

There was a flagging held for 'lying' Perdue in Columbus, Thursday,June 5, in the evening, at the Columbus Iron Works Convention Center. He was greeted by eight people with flags ranging in age from four to retired. He seemed surprised to see us but he'll soon learn we're not going away. The local SCV could not support us because it was their meeting night and they had a special speaker for their group. One man with a political tag on his vehicle got really upset when he saw us. His expression was priceless, he seemed to fear losing the next time he runs for office. We got lots of friendly waves and 'thumbs up' from the folks and one attendant of the meeting made a point to come to the sidewalk and shake all of our hands and said a special 'thank you' to all of us. We had a good time and would have more people but the word was late in getting out because this event was hard to confirm in time to tell everyone.   Clinton Crawley

Flaggin' #10 at Industrial Park in Jesup   And Flaggin' # 11 of Perdue The Liar in Jesup   Altamaha Tech   image0053.jpg (65423 bytes)click

Awesome flaggin! At the college there were 50 + people and 100 + flags. These will be some great pics when they all get online. I didn't attend the first flaggin at Ind Park but most of those were the one's at the college too.  Carl Sears

I thought that you should be the first to know that this is the state of Chicken Perdue after his little jaunt to Jesup. He WILL remember this one. Counted at least 52 folks, a small army that moved from Ashley Manufacturing to Altamaha Tech, lots of signs, even recycled SONNY signs with large LIAR letters tacked on, and it seemed, a thousand REAL GEORGIA FLAGS. Horns blowing, folks yelling encouragement on the line and in vehicles passing by. This was at the plant. And it was only the warm-up. The crowd followed C. Perdue to Altamaha Tech, and took it up again. Only here we had a steady blowing of air horns, thanks to our truck driving commandos, under the leadership of the Dixie Outfitter troops. Such logistics, such strategy, such advances, and the flanking movements were on target. It was a sight to see! REAL GEORGIA FLAGS lined up two and three deep for a quarter mile or so. Glorious! Just Glorious!. You will be interested to know that Drew Davis was spotted escaping the fowl festivities in a slinking fashion...you know, how cowards make it look like their head lays right on their shoulders. Flaggers do not have that problem. We were also represented at the airport for Chicken's flight back to his Taliban friends in Atlanta, so's they could reprogram his birdbrain that what hit him in Jesup, didn't. You get my drift.

So, to Chicken Perdue and any future guv's up there in Atlanta way, let them be careful to say,,"They'll get over it, they'll let up in a while." Let the Atlanta Taliban and their Brooks and Co. associates know that a new wind is blowing in Georgia...The wind that they hoped like blazes was GONE!!!       Janice Kelly

Gentlemen,
Attached please see photos of Sonny Perdue's new Gestapo. I say new
because we have protested Government abuses before, even under King Roy, and were never denied our Constitutional Rights to rally on the public sidewalk around the Capitol.  While one may still walk down the sidewalk, one cannot have a sign, and heaven forbid a Southern flag.

Yes, this is Georgia and in the South. What's the purpose? They don't
want the people to be able to see their legislators as they enter and exit. So much for Perdue's pledge of an open government, and people being heard! We didn't vote for another King.

Broken Promises by Perdue The Liar as printed in the Marietta Daily Journal:

When asked if he would support changing the flag as governor, Byrne said he felt the flag
change had been rammed down the residents' throats.  The divisive issue, Byrne said, has only been made worse by the solution Gov. Roy Barnes pushed through that displayed every flag flown over Georgia including the version containing a Confederate banner.
"We need to revisit the issue, because the division has grown," he said.

While both of his opponents stopped short of endorsing the old flag,
they said they would be in favor of putting the decision before Georgia voters.

When asked how they would garner the support of minority voters while backing a change to the flag,
all said by giving the choice to the people.

Byrne pointed to how the issue has been dealt with in South Carolina and Mississippi.  While the debate rages on in South Carolina, Mississippi put the idea before a vote and the majority of residents voted to keep the flag as is, ending the controversy before it started.

"The only way to resolve the issue is to allow all Georgians the opportunity to vote----majority rules," he said.  Perdue said the flag should be something that unites us rather than divides us,
and agreed it should be voted on.

Three strikes and you're out Perdue!

The secret and treacherous GA Flag change pushed by the HPA leadership of Charles Lunsford, Rusty Henderson, and Allen Trapp (also the SCV GA Div. Cmdr).   This was obtained from the office of Scalawag GA Gov. Barnes.   The members did not know these three were conspiring with King Roy to change our Georgia State memorial flag.   This meeting came only two months after the Sons of Confederate Veterans voted to fight all the way to save the Real Georgia Flag.   See below:
