Sonny Lied! One term Georgia Governor George Perdue
During his campaign for Governor, Perdue went all over this State declaring that we would get a vote on our Georgia Flag which was stolen by the treacherous King Roy Barnes.
***************************************************

Here are the Tyrants responsible:
Speaker Glenn Richardson

House Bill #15 was entered in the State House this year, which gives Georgians a Fair Vote on our State Flag, which includes the 1956 Veteran Memorial Flag. The State Flag that was stolen from Georgia and then promised a Fair Vote on by Gov. Sonny Perdue, which Perdue says now, it won’t happen.
Glenn Richardson as Speaker of the House purposely place this Bill in a committee headed by Southern Heritage Haters, Austin Scott and Tyrone Brooks, so the Bill will never get out of Committee. As of date the Bill is still stuck in Committee as planned by Glenn Richardson and Sonny “the liar” Perdue.
It’s very obvious that Glenn Richardson takes his marching orders from the city of Atlanta and the Republican Party leadership rather than listening to the good folks in his district that elected him.

Letter from Sonny Purdue
Dear Friend,
You represent an important part of Georgia's rich heritage. I commend you
for your respect for tradition and history.
The people of Georgia's 18th Senate District sent me to Atlanta to reflect
their views, beliefs, and values. I have always prided myself in doing just
that. Thus in 1993, when then Governor Miller called for the flag to be
changed, my constituents told me they did not favor the change, so I voted
against it. In 2001, Roy Barnes pushed his flag through the legislature,
without giving the people a voice, so I chose to vote against the change
again. I have been consistent on my stance on the flag, unlike those who
alter their views based on the changing political climate.
I firmly believe that the people of Georgia should have had a voice in the
process. Under a Perdue administration, I will give the people that voice. I
will support a statewide referendum, allowing the people to vote on the flag
which flies over our State.
I believe in representative democracy and that the doors of state government
should always be open to the people. Not only will I listen to the citizens
on the flag, I will hear their voice on all issues. When I am Governor,
everyone will have my ear, but no one will own it.
We will defeat Roy Barnes in November, but in order to get there, first I
must win the Republican nomination on August 20th. I need your help by
getting people out to vote for this crucial primary. Together we can return
honesty, integrity, and prosperity to our state and put a man in Atlanta who
knows and respects your concerns. Please spread the word and vote in the
primary on August 20th.
May God bless you and may God continue to bless our great State.
Sincerely,
Sonny Perdue

Lijah,
Guess I'll add my
personal account to the list.
I spent ten days at
the Georgia National Fair in Perry last year. As you are aware, Houston Co. is
Perdue's home. The Houston County Republicans had a booth at the fair and I
spoke with one or more of them on a daily basis due to the fact I was openly
campaigning against Barnes (and for Perdue). I purchased "Boot Barnes" buttons
from the Houston Co. Republican Party which featured the '56 State Flag.
I'll send scans of
the actual buttons (one round, one rectangular) by separate email.
I met and spoke at
length with Perdue's brother-in-law, "Smoke" on several occasions and he brought
several of the "Rat Videos" and many Perdue campaign signs to my booth during
the fair. We talked about the election, the flag issue, and the effect of the
flag issue on the election. There was no mistake on my part or Smoke's what the
issues were or what flag we were talking about voting on.
As you are also
aware, the final gubernatorial debate was held at the Georgia National Fair. I
attended the debate with the president of the Thomasville Chapter of the UDC,
Ms. Penny Herold. We carried the "Boot Barnes" version of the "Let Us Vote"
signs and small '56 flags. We seated ourselves almost dead-center in the
auditorium, but the Houston Co. Republicans offered us seats FRONT and center
(second row) in the "Reserved" section. One or both of us appeared in several
television broadcasts of the debate.
Just prior to the
debate, I was personally introduced to Sonny Perdue by his brother-in-law and I
related our activities on his behalf in South Georgia. Governor Perdue assured
me personally that our efforts would not be in vain should he be elected
governor. We only spoke briefly, but again, there was no confusion about the
issue or the flag we were speaking of. He knew exactly where my loyalties were,
he looked me in the eye, and he lied to me...with a smile on his face.
"SONNY LIED"...and
I'll swear to on a polygraph or on my father's grave.

At the parade in Bremen right before the election, Perdue walked by and I asked
him, Will we get to vote on the flag if you are elected, he said YES, this flag
I said, (holding a huge 56 flag), and he said YES! There was NO confusion there.

Lige, please tell that Augusta mediacrat about this and stress that regardless
of Sonny's casuistic crap to the media, he did promise numerous individual
citizens a vote ON THE RGF, then BROKE HIS PROMISE. It's called fraud,
extortion, breach of promise or contract in your life and mine, but for
politicians, merely "politics". Ask the Augusta mediacrat if this is how he
thinks a state or a country should be run -- play word games in press
conferences and lie one-on-one to citizens whose word is their bond. One set of
rules for us, another for them -- is that it? Is it OK with the Augusta
mediacrat if conservative politicians treat people like him this way -- all in
the game?

Elijah,
Feel free to use my name. I was with Perdue on many occasions when he
told people if elected he would guarantee a vote on the 1956 GA State Flag
-- no new rag/flag was ever discussed.

Hey Lijah, you can tell that reporter that my name is Jack
Lipthratt and I met Perdue the Liar at a big Republican cookout down in
Brunswick before the elections. I was the only person there with a 'Let Us
Vote' sign. I shook Perdue the Liar's hand as I told him that we would vote for
Bozo the Clown if that is what it takes to get this flag back. He told me that
barnes (the rat) should have let us vote on that flag and if elected, he will
support a referendum allowing the citizens of Georgia vote on that flag. It was
very clear what flag we were talking about. He can't act stupid now and pretend
he didn't know what flag we wanted a vote on. Slick willie Clinton questioned
the definition of "is". Now Perdue the Liar claims to be completely confused as
to what "that flag" is. If he is truly not a liar, then he is undoubtedly the
most pathetic idiot. Either way is reason enough to get rid of him.

My name is Norman Black and I live at 5532 Knox Place, Norcross, GA 30092.
Mr. Perdue affirmed to me, face to face, during the primary campaign and also
during the general election campaign, that he would have a referendum and allow
the voters to choose between the 1956 state flag and the Roy Barnes state flag.
Once he was in office, he broke these promises. The web site of the Atlanta
Area Chamber of Commerce had a commendatory note on its site, after Perdue broke
his word and helped to shove through the 2003 state flag, thanking several of
its leading members for their part in getting the new flag adopted.
It is odd that Perdue listened to the people named by the C of C, because they
and the corporations they run/own were major contributors to Barnes, in 2002.
We must now wait and see, when the 2004 state election contributions lists and
amendments are filed, who gives big bucks to Perdue. We must also look at what
individuals and which corporations fund the issues advertisements run by the
print and electronic press to support Perdue. That probably means we may not
really know what bait Perdue swallowed, in return for lying to the voters, until
the final information is in, which shall be after the 2004 state elections.
If one reads the printed primary campaign letter by Perdue, in which he promised
a referendum, one must understand that he made that promise when there were only
two flags in question: the 1956 flag and the Barnes flag.
If he meant a referendum to allow the voters to choose between the Barnes flag
and his own 2003 flag, he was guilty of premeditated lying, since no one but
Perdue could have know he planned such a deceitful referendum.
Sincerely,
Norman Black
Flaggers helped defeat Roy Barnes,
will work to boot Gov. Perdue
Roy Barnes, from my hometown here in Mableton, ran on a ticket to leave our flag
flying. He took the donations ($16 million minimum), and treacherously changed
our flag without any public input. In my opinion, AIPAC was grooming him to be
the next president. There were at least 80 of us flagging Barnes at the
governor’s mansion when AIPAC was having their $10,000/plate dinner. His flag,
Rag 1, probably cost him the presidency when AIPAC saw that he couldn’t carry
his own state of Georgia and that we citizens were outraged at his lies.
Here comes Sonny Perdue, who promised us a vote on our ’56 flag as he took our
money, our sign installation work, our flyer work, our protests against King
Roy, and our proliferation of his King Rat movie. From the very beginning he had
his floor leaders pushing his flag, and he never planned for us to get a vote on
the people’s flag. We were betrayed further when Perdue the Liar signed HB 380,
making his flag the new state flag without we the people having any say.
In the spring we will not get a vote, except on the Barnes Rag I and the Perdue
Rag II.
But, like South Carolina, we intend to keep booting governors until we get one
who doesn’t sell us out to the billionaires in the Atlanta Chamber of Commerce.
We can’t compete on the donation side, but we the people can certainly boot
governors who “sell us out” in our great state of Georgia where the parties are
about equal in numbers. …

Daniel A. Coleman, Public Relations Officer of the SCV, reported that as he donated $500.00 of his personal funds to Perdue in Douglasville, GA, he was promised that we would get a vote on the 1956 Peoples' Georgia flag with the Saint Andrews cross.
When Perdue was speaking in Toccoa in April this year our publisher R. W. Moore spoke to the lying governor and asked him "which flags will we be able to vote on?" Perdue said "the pre 56 flag and the 56 flag and the Barnes flag" Mr. Moore told the governor if he did not believe the flag issue was important he should call King Rat Roy Barnes and ask him." Mr. Moore said to the governor’s face "If the citizens of Georgia are not allowed to vote on the 56 flag, you Mr. Perdue you will another one term governor. Mr. Moore can say Perdue lied.
SCV Cmdr. Jack Bridwell of Moultrie, Georgia reported that he, too, was told by candidate Perdue that we would get a vote on our '56 GA Flag.
